Fun thriller
30 October 2023
I enjoyed this movie. Is it Oscar-worthy? Absolutely not. But it was a fun, suspenseful movie that was entertaining. Yes, the first scene is similar to Scream. But then, they acknowledge that there are copycat killers, so it isn't like they are claiming the scene is original. Enjoy it for what it is. Don't try to make it something it isn't. It was a fun, thriller romp just in time for Halloween. And some of the dialogue was entertaining. I don't understand why some people watch movies like this and then critique them. Just watch it and escape for a few hours. It's not that deep! Analyzing a movie like this is pointless.

If Lost and True Blood had a baby
17 March 2022
I really like this show. It sucks that it's only on Epix, which not everyone has. It reminds me of the twists associated with Lost (in which Harold Perrineau also starred) and the unrefined nature of True Blood (also similar to the opening credits). I am not a film or tv expert, but I do know I make it a point to watch every episode when it airs.

Watch this to escape the present, but remind us of the past
20 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This show is entertaining. I can sit back and entertain the notion of going back in time to significant eras of the past as an individual with knowledge of the future. However, I am apprehensive that this will deter some viewers, who aim to adhere to the constraints of the theory of time travel. I've already seen the reviews debating the operation and effects of the back-and- forth nature of the show. As an individual who has studied science for most of her education, I understand that watching this show is not going to reteach history at its most accurate. However, it does highlight certain main events, and reminds me to explore those events more, thus, teaching me more than any classroom ever has. I watch this show to escape the present and remind me of the past, as I didn't follow American history that much through college. This show is a fun, albeit fanciful look at what would happen if we messed with the past. PLEASE do not cancel this based on reviewers' criticism of time travel's effect on history. What do we really know anyway?

Season 2 starts slow, but gets AMAZING
3 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, I loved Season 1. Season 2 starts off slow, but lays a necessary foundation for the events ahead. You need the background of characters and past events in order to comprehend the future episodes. A lot of the other reviews for this season are negative, but I don't think those individuals kept watching the show. I've watched it week-to-week, but it might be better for some to watch back-to-back, since most of the episodes have aired. Any show with sex parties, pills, and violence is a hit in my book! I rarely get out my laptop to review anything, but I was so stunned by this past week's episode that I felt compelled to write something. Ignore the negative reviews and WATCH THIS SHOW.

Get your head out of your ass

Listen, I get it. It makes women seem naive, vulnerable, blah, blah, blah. THAT'S WHAT I ENJOY WATCHING. I don't want to come home from a 12-hour shift to watch something based in reality. I want something fluffy and ridiculous. Perhaps there are others that disagree with me. That's fine. But I do believe that you all should take this show for what it is. It's a one-hour escape from reality. And yes, the plot is silly and the acting is a bit forced. But is there really a need to attack it for lacking a feminist viewpoint? I see the real world every day. I don't need to see it when I kick back with a miller light and a puzzle. I don't get all the reviews that this is putting women back "30 years" and is "demoralizing." It's a F*CKING ABC soap opera. Leave your far-left feminist ideology at the door and have some fun.
