A Wrinkle in Time (2018)
Umm...don't know what to say.
It was weird, it was a little boring, & it really didn't make a lot of sense in some parts. Acting wasn't all that great from majority of the characters. I have seen the original movie, but it has been a long time. I wasn't a big fan of Charles Wallace or Meg. I love Reese Witherspoon, but I didn't like her in this movie. Kind of bummed, because I was excited to see this movie. So glad I didn't go see it in theaters or buy it. Thank you Netflix you saved me some money, but unfortunately not my time.
Hereditary (2018)
Not what I hoped it would be....
Bummer movie. Everyone we talked to said this movie was scary. And some said they walked out of the theatre because it was so scary. Not even...Long beginning leading up to a weird ending. Some jumpy\creepy moments, but that was all.
Greta (2009)
Irritating
I love Hilary Duff. Her music and a couple of her movies I have, but I did not like this movie at all. Hilary Duff is a sweet, nice and happy person from what we see in real life. This movie to me made her look annoying and so not Hilary Duff role. No thanks...
Forever My Girl (2018)
Not bad...
I am a fan of Nicholas Sparks and I am a softy for cute love stories. So...when I saw the trailer for "Forever My Girl", I really wanted to see it. So...I bought it on DVD and was super excited! While the movie had me smiling a lot, I also thought that Liam and Josie moved pretty fast for him leaving her at the alter and being away for 7,8 years. Other than that it was a cute movie.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018)
I liked it...
I have all three movies and I have not read any of the books. I really liked the first 2 and was so excited for the 3rd and final movie. Packed with action and thrill that will keep you on the edge of your seat pretty much the whole movie.
Love the cast, they all did so good in the movies. But...2 of my favorite characters died! That was the most heart breaking part. The ending kind of left you hanging though. I wanted to know more...but I guess it was a "and they all lived happily ever after" sort of ending. #teamthomas
Paparazzi (2004)
An inside look on what its like to be a celebrity and paparazzzi in your face 24\7.
I really liked this movie. Crazy the things paparazzi will do to capture the perfect picture. Great acting from everyone. This film was kind of like an inside look on what its like to be a celebrity and have cameras at your back door and in your face 24/7. So sad what happened to the Laramies, that part killed me the most.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
Nope...
I am a 90's kid, so I grew up on the original Jumanji with Robin Williams. I love the original! When I heard that there was going to be a remake, I thought "Oh, this better be good". Then when I saw the commercials for it, I knew I didn't want to see it, because I probably wasn't going to like it. I like Jack Black movies, but this 1 not so much. My mom and I were at Target and she grabbed the movie for was to watch. I really didn't want to. We watched it and yes, it was funny on some parts, but kind of boring. I thought the movie is or was going to be a movie for young kids. My 5 year old nephew wants to see Jumanji, but I don't know if I'd let him, unless I or other older kids or adults are with him. Quit a few curse words and something's I don't think he would understand. So, in the end I should have gone with my gut and said lets wait until this comes on TV. If you haven't seen the original, then you will probably like the remake.
My Cousin Rachel (2017)
I was hoping for better..
Finally got to watch on TV a couple weeks ago. My mom and I were excited, but we were disappointed in the end. We were hoping for a real thriller. While I love Rachel and Sam, they are great actors, but this wasn't 1 of my favorites from them. It was a bit boring.
The Vampire Diaries (2009)
My favorite show for 8 years.
The Vampire Diaries started in 2009 when I started High school. My mom and I rented the first season at Blockbuster and wanted more. TVD basically got me through my high school years. I never missed an episode. I was team Stelena from the get go. Best show ever and best cast ever. Lots of episodes that left me on the edge of my seat. Poor Stefan deserved better. After 8 years of never missing an episode and being a complete super fan, I was devastated when it ended. Stefan didn't deserve to die. The final episode wasn't horrible, but there was a lot of things that had loose ends. It felt rushed. Hair and makeup for the return of Katherine and Elena was sloppy. They looked horrible. So that's why I give a 9 out of 10. Best show for a long time and then it went out without a big bang.
iZombie (2015)
Pretty good.
I'm kind of a supernatural and CW network fan, so iZombie interested me. I watched The Vampire Diaries for 8 years and when it ended last year, I was a kind of devastated. I just recently started binge watching seasons 1-3 on Netflix. I am a big fan of Rose McIver, Robert Buckley and Aly Michalka. Watching the first couple episodes I was and still am very interested in Liv and Major's relationship and if Liv ever becomes a human again. I want Liv and Major to be together sooo bad! I love Ravi and Peyton, the four of them + Clive are the greatest team. Sometimes I could fast forward through all the crime, interviews and such that Liv goes on with Clive because its a little boring sometimes, but that's what Liv does, she helps solve what happens to the victims that come in to the morge. I love the humor in the show. So far I like the show and I can't stop watching. I just hate seeing Liv and Major fool around with other people. They belong together...
The Fate of the Furious (2017)
It was a hit and miss
I didn't know what to think about this one. When I saw the trailer I didn't really see the story line or get how it goes in with all the other movies. The movies aren't about the racing or the cars anymore its all about the crime and bad guys vs. the team\family. I really missed Mia\Jordana and Brian\Paul in this one. It wasn't the same without them. So, I guess the story was Dom turned to the dark side in order to save Elena and his son that he had no idea existed? Charlize character "Cipher" showed him something on a phone, but what was it? What made Dom switch and turn against his team\family\Letty? They didn't show. It was OK overall, but it kind of ended for me at movie number 7.
Gifted (2017)
Good Movie that will move you in a good way
If your looking for a good and cute movie, this is for you.As soon as I saw the trailer for "Gifted", I knew I wanted to see it. Looked cute and funny. Chris Evans and McKenna Grace were so good. The both of them had a great connection in the movie and played there characters really well. Still can't believe McKenna is actually 11 years old in real life. She is super cute, fun and mature. Not only is this movie funny, in some parts, but it is also sad in some parts. I little bit of cuteness, humor, fun, and sadness. Heartwarming family film that is kind of a must see.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016)
It was OK...
I was really excited to see this movie when I saw the first commercial. I was also excited because Lily James was in it and I love her. I never really cared for the Pride and Prejudice movies, but I thought this might be good. Costumes and the sets were great, but I didn't care to much for the movie it self. I really didn't like who they chose to play Mr. Darcy. Loved Mr. Bingley though, very cute. Lots of action. I think just about the only thing I liked about this movie was the sisters (Jane & Elizabeth). 1 of my favorite parts was when the sisters were getting ready to go to the party and they were loading up on there knives & weapons just in case there's a zombie attack. My 2nd favorite part was when the sisters were walking back into the party room to kill the zombies and Mr. Darcy & Mr. Bingley are watching like "Dang, they are kicking zombie but". All in all I gave this movie 6\10, because it was action packed, good actors, some funny moments, it wasn't all over the place and it did lead a semi interesting story.
The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016)
Really Good
When I saw the previews for this movie I was like "oh! I want to see that!" I also had seen and owned the 1st movie "Snow White". I honestly thought that this movie was better than the 1st. I love Chris Hemsworth and he did an excellent job as the huntsman in both movies. I was kind of hoping for Kristen Stewart to be in this one and it probably would have made it even better, but oh well. I loved the characters in the movie, they fit perfect. Eric and Sara were my favorite and I loved the love they had for each other. So cute. I was so happy that Sara really didn't die, but when she came back I was shocked and kind of like "What!" I thought that maybe it was Queen Freya, but like Eric said that ice wall made each of them see different things. I loved the dwarfs, they were lively and comical and cute. Good movie overall though. After you watch Snow White & the Huntsman it all kind of all come together.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015)
Wow....Good & OK
I can't believe this was the last movie, so crazy. In the beginning I was not a Hunger Games fan, but when I watched Part 1,I was so excited to see Part 2. I have all the movies and they are all very good. During the first couple of movies you see Katniss stuck between Gail and Peeta. I did not expect for Part 2 to end the way it did. Totally Shocked me. I am still in awe. I'm still not sure if Katniss chose the right person though. I love Gail & Peeta, but I don't know, I thought she would have chose different. Anyway, I am glad it ended semi happy. Super sad Prim dies though. I don't know Hunger Games fans, Did it end the way you wanted? Was it good or kind of blah?
Crimson Peak (2015)
It was OK good
When I first saw the commercial for this movie, I was like "Oh that looks good." When it came out in theaters, of course it didn't get to many good ratings from people. I heard that it was more of a love story than a scary horror film, which kind of bummed me. So instead of seeing it in theaters, I waited until it came out on DVD. So Tuesday, February 9th my mom and I went to Target and bought it. Excited to finally see it! It was kind of slow, but it kept with the story. After watching, I thought it was good and creepy. Not so much scary as I hoped, but it was more of a thriller. Some of the acting I thought wasn't so great at times from the girl that plays Edith. Lucille was by far the creepiest. I would have been a little more careful and not so trusting if I was Edith. Good movie overall. By the end of the movie I was screaming at my TV, "Don't drink the Tea." & "Run Edith! Run".
The Intern (2015)
Pretty Good
When I first saw the commercials for this movie, I thought it looked funny and a good movie. I have watched a lot of movies in the past , so I was a little hesitant to purchase this one. Anna Hathaway & Robert De Niro were really good. I have loved them in other movie that they have done, so I kind of knew that it would be at least a 5 star movie. So funny in some parts and it definitely made my parents and I laugh. The little girl was so cute, she did a great job. This movie really makes you think about life today. It made me feel happy, sad, joy, & laughter. It was a long movie, but it didn't drag on like other movies did. It kept with the story.
Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015)
So much better than the 2nd
My mom and I are big scary movie fans, so when we saw the commercial for the first Insidious, we were excited. Then the Insidious Chapter 2 came out, we were less than impressed. It was not even scary. So yeah we were disappointed. We bought Chapter 3 when it came out on DVD, we were a little worried it wouldn't be good or scary, but it was good. So good and scary. At some of the scary parts I think my mom and I jumped 5 feet off our couch and I was hiding behind my pillow the whole time. Haha Very good and so much better than the 2nd film. We are looking forward to a number 4. If you like scary movies, this would be 1 to watch.
American Sniper (2014)
Loved it. Awesome movie for so many reasons.
When this movie came out on DVD I wasn't sure if I wanted to see it or not. I'm a 22 year old girl and I have seen many war movies. This movie like many others was based on a true story, which is why I didn't want to watch it. I knew it was going to be sad and probably make me cry a little. But about a month ago I watched it with my dad and it was incredible. Bradley Cooper was so good at portraying the amazing Chris Kyle. With every movie made about our troops, you see how intense it is and how incredibly strong all our soldiers are. So sad what happened to Chris. His story and his determination to protect his country and his family will be carried on and remembered.
Red Riding Hood (2011)
Good...
All of the actors and actresses in this movie were really good. 2 gorgeously hot guys in love with one girl. Costumes & make-up were really good, it made you feel like your were actually in the movie. All the hidden secrets in the movie made you want say 'What?". The ending was sad and I was hoping that Valarie & Peter would be together forever. I love this story and it had a little spin on the Red Riding Hood story I read when I was kid. I had no idea who the wolf was when I first watched it, but I had an idea. It fits him and he kind of looks like a wolf to. I love Max Irons, he does very well in the movies he play in. Amanda Seyfried has changed so much since she played in the movie Mean Girls, I didn't even know that it was her until I looked up the cast. She has become a really good actress and starred in a lot of movies.
The White Queen (2013)
So good....
Really good mini series. When it ended I wanted another season, but sadly it was only 1. When each episode ended it left you sitting on the edge of your seat with your mouth hanging open wanting more. I was rooting for Elizabeth the entire time. When Edward and Elizabeth met, I was so glad that Edward took her sons in as his own and treated them with respect and kindness. Loved it. Max Irons played such an amazing role and he was a gorgeous Prince\King Edward. I was mad at his brothers for going against him and his family. It was sad that his own blood hated Elizabeth for who she was, but I guess those were the times back then. Love was love for Edward and Elizabeth and I was so happy when she finally had a baby boy. So good, but very sad that Edward didn't live to protect his family.
Dear John (2010)
Awesome Movie! It will tug on your heart strings.
Another awesome Nicolas Sparks movie. Beautiful love story that seemed so real. Loved it. Channing and Amanda were awesome and so good in roles of John and Savannah. The life of a long distant summer love relationship with a soldier. Each time your rooting for Savannah to just stay with John, because they are so perfect together. Life is full of choices, but did Savannah make the right one by letting John go and will they ever get back together. He needs her and she (loves) needs him. John and his dad had such a rough relationship, but in the end that father son bond was always there. No matter where you are in the world, the moon is never bigger than your thumb.-John Tyree
Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
Nope....
Terrible movie. Lots of fowl language. When I first saw the commercial for this movie, I was like I want to see that. But instead of renting it, I bought it. Well, lets just say it was the worst like $15 I have ever spent. I like my love stories, but I also like my action movies. This movie was long and the actors I've seen in other movies...Morgan Freeman was annoying and creepy. But Eggsy was cute... that's about it. I was disappointed that Colin Firth & Michael Caine were in it, because usually they are good actors in good movies. Stinks I can't get my money back, because this was no good very bad. 4 out of 10 stars I give this movie for it's lack to entertain this persons love for movies.
Jupiter Ascending (2015)
Long and Terrible
Love Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, but this movie was terrible. It was all over the place confusing. I don't know how many times I lost and didn't know who were the bad guys and who were the good guys. The movie had some really long scenes too. The scene where Caine saves Jupiter and they are flying around in the air trying to get away from what was chasing them was a long scene. The costumes were cool and pretty, but I thought this movie was going to be a lot better than what it was. Not a great movie at all. Hopefully there isn't a sequel. I bought this movie, I didn't go see it in theaters, but I wish there was a place you could take movies that weren't good and get your money back.
The Longest Ride (2015)
Good, but I wasn't blown away like I thought I would have.
Good movie, but I thought I was going to fall in love with this movie. I gave it an 8 out of 10, because I thought Luke and Sophia rushed in to love very soon, and there were so many parts that were awkward and should have been done differently. They were off and then they were on. I was so excited to see this movie, because 1 I love love stories and 2, Nicolas Sparks wrote it, but he has done better.(The Notebook) Scott Eastwood was perfect to play Luke, he was gorgeous and a good actor for this role. I loved Ruth and Ira's love story, but what did it have to do with Luke and Sophia's love, I mean except sort of bring them together. Luke really didn't even know Ira, Sophia did, because she stayed and read him the letters. Lots of people loved this movie, but I'm not sure, maybe I need to watch it again.
