Demon House (2019)
Ridiculous
I have to say I didn't have very high hopes for this film from the start - I've seen his shows and was not impressed - especially the oh-so-ridiculous Deadly Possessions! This film was far worse than I expected. I actually feel like I killed brain cells watching this garbage - I would give it a negative score if I could.
Zach Bagans has made a career out of pretending, scripting and exaggerating anything he can get his grubby little hands on. It is painfully obvious that his purchase of the "Demon House" and subsequent film are nothing more than his pathetic attempts to continue exploiting the gullible nature of many audience members in order to keep lining his own pockets.
The people interviewed in the film are obviously looking for money and will say anything to get paid.
Biggest waste of my time since Gravity!
God Bless America (2011)
Most Incredible Film Ever Created
You know what I hate? People who are offended by this movie - I believe they might be the kind of people that end up dead in this incredible film.
This probably the most perfectly crafted film ever created. It is brilliant - from the writing to the final edit, I have nothing but rave reviews. The music is awesome, the acting is superb, and the symbolism is subtle and powerful.
I find this film cathartic! When I am having one of those days where I hate the world, watching God Bless America makes me feel better. I like to think that somewhere out there, Frank and Roxie are taking care of another jerk.
To the genius writer/director Bobcat Goldthwait - this may not be your most popular film, but this could be your most important and meaningful film. Very well done sir.
I just watched this movie for the millionth time and given recent events in the news, (the mass shooting in Orlando and the reaction by religious groups) the message of God Bless America couldn't be more relevant.
Some of you may think this movie advocates violence - but I think the real message is "don't be a dick." Wish more people got it.
Hangar 10 (2014)
Snoooozzzzeeee
I am typically a fan of found footage movies, especially if they are well done. This one was not.
I was very excited to watch Hangar 10, as I enjoy a good UFO/alien movie. What a disappointment!
I spent most of this movie wondering what the hell was going on. The reason why they were in the woods and their reasoning for doing things was not made very clear. The accents were thick which did not help matters at all.
Overall, the movie was slow and boring, and two of the actors spent half the movie yelling "Gus!!!" which got pretty old.
Unfortunately, all Hangar 10 did for me was waste two hours of my life that I can never get back.
The Houses October Built (2014)
Bad ending!
I was super excited to watch this. I love Halloween movies, and well done found-footage movies. I really enjoyed the movie until the ending.
It was an interesting idea, and as someone who went to a Haunted House attraction this year, I thought it was good subject matter - exploring how far people will go in the pursuit of the ultimate thrill.
For me, this movie was great all the way to the last three minutes. I won't spoil anything, just don't expect to have any questions answered.
I don't need movies to have a completely believable plot all the time, but there is a limit. I just cant buy into a story where you have a large group of unrelated Halloween Haunt workers conspiring to murder five people, just for the thrill of it.
I guess I am glad I watched it, but I don't think I will bother again.
