The Suicide Squad (2021)
horrible and disgusting
The movie is unnecessarily extremely gore at times
i didn't enjoy it. Jokes were meh
not gonna watch another dc movie a while.
Miss Sherlock (2018)
i was over hyped!
Ok so this comes from a normal guy who loved the fast pace and the way of filming "mind palace" done by RDJ & Benedict Cumberbatch in their adaptation of the character.
Lets get started
Miss Sherlock is weird , yes not is she.. likable/ funny (by me as spectator) ? i don't know what future episodes hold! but as far as episode 1 goes NO!
Is she portrayed as smart? yes but she made some blatant mistakes i am mad she did that (or let some thing happen)
I loved Wato-San though but the way she ends up being roommate with sherlock felt forced
you can notice the police investigator laughing without any reason in a scene, i wonder if they forgot to do montage!
Also the crying was cringeworthy in a scene that i had to fast forward that scene
in the end , i expected better from HBO, I expected better from Japan
(There is a famous brilliant japanese anime called Detective Conan that is inspired from the work of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle the author of Sherlock Holmes and it disappoints me to watch this)
Runaways (2017)
not worth watching
The bad
1- a lot of unsolved mysteries , unanswered questions to the extent that it's just tiresome to watch. to top it off, a cliffhanger finale!.
If you remember how dragging Heroes & Lost were , this one isn't interesting to know what happens next in the show
2- nothing actually happens for 10 episodes. just some drama. cheating and love triangles. action scenes are very minimal
the good
error 404 not found
Man with a Plan (2016)
reasons for my 4\10 vote
what i didn't like
Too much laugh tracks. even if the situation doesn't warrant it.
The transitional music between scenes is used too many times and without enough time gap.
Only Matt by himself isn't enough. I have watched 6 episodes and all scenes are Matt with someone else. the other characters should have had more interaction with each other
many cliché dialogues
Legion (2017)
Not impressed. Slow , repetitive and kinda boring.
##updated
ep1 So I just watched the pilot. It's boring. Of the 67 minutes that is the duration of the episode, the first half hour is difficult to watch. So boring and confusing. Is this hallucination or real?. I only kept watching because this is supposed to be a Marvel-related series. It gets better the next 20 minutes. Then back to the confusing parts. Hallucination vs reality vs possibly a flashback vs possible an event in the future. Also a bit repetitive. The last minutes are kinda interesting Since a relationship to the mutant x men is established.
I must say, I'm not impressed. However I will watch the second episode before i pull the plug on it.
##ep2 the irritating psycho fits are making me feel like they are turning me into a psycho/ schizo myself! so i decided i would watch some of the episode now and the rest a day later or so. This way made me feel some improvement in the show. it is not THAT bad. it's just too focused on the psycho parts of this unknown superhero. needless to say i am not a big fan of psycho drama. The acting of David Haller is really great, however i'm glad that Lenny a face i'm familiar with from "Parks & Rec." is here. so suits her. I raised my rating from 4 to 6. i think 7 is a show i may enjoy and can watch if i'm bored but this is not the case here. not yet anyway. i'll be waiting for the 3rd episode to reach a final decision ContinueVsDrop
Man of Steel (2013)
a not-good-enough sci-fi - an insult to Superman
Reasons I don't like this movie:
1- It's an origin story, yet it's accompanied with Zod's story while it should have been about how will he manages working in the daily plant and saving Metropolis from some minor villains. the Zod story could have been introduced in the end as cliffhanger for a sequel. so i think the movie was rushed.
2- a lot of stuff were omitted in order to combine Zod's story and Clark's origin and "the rise of superman".
3- the romance between Clark\superman and Lois lane was forced, not done well.
4- i hated how they introduced the fortress of solitude, and the forced meeting between Clark\superman and Lois
5- the dark\serious music all the movie even when some triumphant music was expected, as in saving the bus or learning to fly
6- only a joke or 2 in the last 5 minute
in the end, i think it was below the expectation
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Good, but not great
All in all, it was a good movie. I was a tad disappointed though. It didn't meet my expectations. Better than the man of Steel, but didn't reach the level the dark Knight.
Ben Affleck was an excellent batman, i totally loved him. I would give him full 10/10.
In my opinion, the movie doesn't provide explanation to a lot of things. Too much scenes are unrelated to the movie
I kept asking myself who is the man from the future who is warning Bruce about superman, "lois lane is the key, you were right to fear him, am i too soon".
I knew later, online, that this is the flash and he is talking about someone called Darksied. Whom i don't know, and wasn't even mentioned in the movie.
I think if there were a narrator to explain things, would be better.
I later realized that it is not a standalone movie, you must've read the comics to understand what's happening. Because the unexplainable dreams of Bruce Wayne, aka Knighmares weren't easy to interpret by someone who hasn't read the comics like myself.
I think wonder woman wasn't properly introduced. Like batman and superman, i felt here presence in the final battle to be somehow awkward. No background but a photo!
I was annoyed by how batman allowed superman to go because their mothers have the same name!. So if superman's mom wasn't Martha, he would have been killed -_-
I loved the fight between them though, batman really did a number on him 😂 It was really epic. So was the bat's fighting the gang, rescuing Martha
I didn't like the final fight against the monster, i understood, later, that they wanted to do the story of "the death of superman" but 2 hours have already past, and BvS fight was over, i would've liked it better if the movie ended with that monster being brought to life, with Lex Luther's menacing laughter. And save the fight for Justice League.
The movie was building the plot for feud between batman and superman, nothing was referring to that freak and that viewer- exhausting fight. For me, it was a boring ending.
So i would rate the movie 8 or more if i ignore the ending.
Too much stories were crammed in the movie. And many scenes could've been cut or shortened. Also a narrator would have been a good addition. The narrator doesn't have to be telling everything, hinting would have been great. Clarifying the poorly explained scenes.
The movie could have used more jokes to lighten the mood. The dark grim theme is not good at all. It was one of the reasons why "man of Steel" sucked. It was a bit acceptable here because of batman's presence.
Of course the graphics, soundtrack were top notch. No complaints
Please forgive my English. It's my second language.
The Flash (2014)
V. Good show except the first 2 episodes
The flash has the worst premiere ever, and the second episode makes things worse for any viewer. Extremely ridiculous sets of events occur starting from the moment Barry gets struck by lightning, it felt like he was deliberately holding the chains to get struck and then acquire superpowers, also the way that everybody is immediately accepting his new powers with no questioning or even the slightest shred of feeling weird. So the series introduction deserves -5/10 (yeah minus. From episode 03 and go on, It is entertaining, exciting, good fighting scenes and well-made. The fact that STAR LABS are led by 2 young scientists is making the show feels juvenile, as if it broadcasting on Disney or Nickelodeon not CW! Top episodes so far; the crossover, yellow flash appearance, Captain Cold
Teen Wolf (2011)
Not top class but not bad
so i have just finished watching the first season of teen wolf (12 episodes) and i can tell you that it is entertaining, it has romance, comedy, action and some drama in it. when i knew that this is a MTV show i realized that i should expect something "light" and this is what you get, the storyline is kind of childish, not coherent as a proper supernatural series, but this does not mean it is very bad, you can say it is acceptable. the acting could have been better, i do not know but i guess all what they cared about is to bring photogenic actors and improvise the story later. it is can be enjoyable if you have nothing to do but do not expect much of it
