Black Adam and what could have been,,
7 January 2024
Just before the theatrical release, it was announced that the Snyder verse of DC was over and that Gunn was not using most of the established will not be used. So like many, I didn't want to go and support that decision by adding to the box office. Let's face it, a lot of us have been disappointed that we will not get to see the pay of from the return of one super nor Dark Side. That said, I can't complain to much about this movie from the entertainment standpoint. Action was fun and comedy hit at the right moments. There is a lot of source material used story told was fun. I could pick and choose the effects and shots of the post production team but we had seen these issues before on End Game. The only issue has was the over us of slow motion in a few scenes that really did not make sense. It's the post credit setting that breaks me because i am left knowing that is will not happen now. Still, a fun watch nonetheless.

A Heart Felt Triumph.
14 November 2022
How do you say goodbye while introducing something that fits the legacy that came before it? How do you grasp the power of loss and the celebration of a truly remarkable life? Wakanda Forever does this and There are no words that can describe the heartfelt sincerity that came from the cast when they spoke of their king. The MCU back story of Namor was a nice reimagined addition to the GODS story line that is being played out on D+ and in phase 4. This also sets up nicely with other projects including Secret Invasion, Iron Wars and young avengers. In the end, this film brought the closure we all hoped while giving us something to look forward too..

Good Start For a Kids Program
30 October 2021
So I have read the reviews both negative and positive and I have to say that some have merit while others do not. Let us remember that this is considered children's programming and is not intended to be HIGH BROW like Picard or the fun science lingo of Generations and Discovery. Plus EVERY pilot episode is designed to introduced the characters and I would love to see how their story develops. Will they become more complex to satisfy adult viewership or will they keep these kids continuously fascinated by what is out in the cosmos like all children that look up to the stars each night. Time will tell. Now as for the animation, wow! I can't believe there is some much movie quality animation in this episode. Some scenes were brighter than others but over all it does go way beyond most others. Lots of fine details in the background, foreground, and effects. Now I enjoyed this and my wife (not a Star Trek Fan) really liked it but our most discerning critic in our household is our six old son who said,"Is that it? Where are they going? I want to see more!" After all what is Star Trek at it's core but an adventure to inspire the future...

Modern Family Fun
2 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I have read some of the reviews (less than stellar) and I can't find what is negativity. It's as if they don't have a dysfunctional family or they can't relate to some of the awkward dynamics of the teen / parents adult relationships some family have. Sure is takes an extreme set of circumstances to realize that they all love each other and learn how to finally be supportive while the HAL like AI is trying to take over the world but it's great adventurous fun. Do not pass up the potential of putting a smile on your face. This movie will have you wanting to take a road trip with the family. Make a long overdue connection, have a seat and let's talk about dinosaurs.
