Eden (2012)
You had a star, Beau Bridges and you killed him to let the movie turn dull
As soon as I noticed that the star of the show, a great actor, Beau Bridges was shown less and less and eventually is killed by the punk of this film, I lost it. What a waste of talent and film.
Why on earth would you let that young unknown actor take over the film when you had such a big star that started off with the story? This was bad writing, bad producing and a waste. It all of a sudden became less than a TV movie.
The violence is grotesque. I think the only good thing about this movie was Beau Bridges but he was taken out. I'm not sure where the story went from then on. I think the writers were confused too.
Lydia Bailey (1952)
Nice movie but it doesn't go too real or deep
For example, the white mother, at the end when her little boy is killed, she doesn't seem to grieve too much for the boy but leaves very fast with the other white guy to spend her life with him, while the father (antagonist) stays with his son and grieves and dies with him as the fire falls on him.
It feels the protagonist has more of a heart than the white blonde woman and her new lover. The cinematography is ok, I wish it was wide screen. The directing is ok but not spectacular. It has a nice energy to it, today perhaps dark paint on white skin would not be acceptable and I think that's what makes the film good. I remember this from when I was a kid and I first watched it.
Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (2004)
Superficial, kids having sex with kids
Awful, superficial, kids with what seems like rich parents. They are all hooking up with eachother. What a culture, how awful! Boys using girls for sex and girls being passed around then crying when the boys leave town. So the girl was used for sex basically. Then there's Kristin, who uses the boys for sex.
How sad is that? Where are their parents? So they landed agents like William Morris from this, this shows the culture that William Morris backs up. We live in a sad sad world. White kids with rich parents having sex with eachother then switching partners, then leaving for college(like most kids in America can afford to go to college and have their daddies pay for it). Sad.
The Hills (2006)
Young preppy white girls living the life
Mmmm yeah, what else is new? So superficial. They keep keeping these great amazing jobs while other young girls who are not acting so spoiled would love to have such jobs but nobody would hire them. That fashion boss lady is so stupid. Really? Is this for real? What a sad world we live in. Is this reality? Who even wants to share this kind of reality with anyone? This show completely broke my heart. I guess it is true, white young well-off folks in this country really do live the life and break the rules and get to keep these amazing jobs and they get to just live the life that everybody wishes they could live. What a joke! Congratulations.
The Call of the Wild (2020)
Harrison Ford was amazing but I'm so over the CGI and woke altered performances
Too much CGI. I loved the older versions because they had more of the real. The dogs reacted more like humans and also, the human actors seemed too nice. The performances didnt feel real. I guess because its aimed at younger audiences.
Frances Ha (2012)
it fels like women who are crew members decided to act
It wasn't interesting to watch. I felt a lot of not so good looking actors who felt could have been or were crew members were in this film. It's an ok film but it didn't grab the attention and I don't know what the story is about.
