BEST MOVIE EVER
26 December 2021
This is one of the best movies that I've ever seen; anyone who says otherwise must dislike one of the actors, or something. The plot is original and the actors are excellent. You'll be on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie, and what happens near the end will have you jump OUT of your seat! Don't listen to the crummy reviews; BUY this movie! You'll watch it many times!

EXCELLENT MOVIE!
19 September 2021
Wow! I came upon this movie by accident, and boy am I glad! The actors were great, the costumes were gorgeous, and the fight scenes were perfect! It had a Pirates of the Caribbean feel to it, a Count of Monte Cristo feel. The Christian elements were perfect, and the ending was very satisfying! I recommend this movie 100%! They need to make more Christian movies like this!!

Best Show I've Ever Seen
6 June 2015
This show is, hands down, the best show I've ever seen. The actors are phenomenal, as are the costumes and filming location of Prague.

Santiago Cabrera plays Aramis, and he is the hottest man on TV! He has personality, wit, charm, sympathy, and bravery; it's impossible not to fall in love with him. Luke Pasqualino plays D'Artagnan, and he had big shoes to fill considering the fame of his character. He pulls it off perfectly with a combination of eagerness and capability that are very mature considering that he's only supposed to be in his early twenties, (and he's adorable, too!) Howard Charles plays Porthos, and he fits the role exactly as he should: huge, strong, powerful, loyal, and witty. If you ever need a bodyguard, you can be sure that Porthos is the right choice. Tom Burke plays Athos, and is the most brooding and quiet of them all. He has a sad past with Milady, and cannot let it go and move on...especially when she pops up working for the Cardinal after he thought her dead for five years. Ryan Gage is King Louis XIII, and he's perfect as a young, unsure ruler. Peter Capaldi is an excellent Richelieu; evil plots galore, but not evil in everything...in one episode in particular, he and the musketeers fight for the same cause. It's a shame that he got the Doctor Who role after season 1 and left to do that instead. Tamla Kari as Constance couldn't be any better; the chemistry between her and D'Artagnan is like electricity. When they kiss—REALLY kiss—for the first time, it's the most passionate kiss I've ever seen in my life. Maimie McCoy plays Milady very well…ruthless and seductive, not caring what she needs to do for money, fame, and power. Alexandra Dowling as the queen is sweet and compassionate. Hugo Speer as Captain Treville is the perfect military leader, and Marc Warren as Rochefort in season two…I don't know where to begin. His character is SO EVIL, and the way Marc played him…the deliberate way he walks and talks, and just…everything, you want to kill him but want him to live at the same time because he is just so FASCINATING!

So, yes. Watch this show…you will NOT be sorry!

Long But Fun
6 June 2015
I found the DVD of the entire miniseries in a store last month, and I totally don't remember watching this or even seeing commercials for it when it was new, which is weird, considering that I love these kinds of shows. I'll say one thing right now: Scott Cohen blew away every other actor in the whole thing, lol. He plays a humanoid wolf, and to say that he threw himself into the role is an understatement. He'll crack you up, especially when he gasps, (which he did at least 50 times lol). He's the best part of the show. I won't say much more considering that there are so many reviews describing the show, but there is something you need to be warned about: this was filmed before 9/11, and in the fascinating opening credits, they show the NYC skyline...and the Twin Towers are in it. The sight of them sent a chill down my spine, (I watched 9/11 live all day and will never forget it) and it showed all the buildings 'falling' and being replaced by fairy tale-type structures...and near the end of the credits, after a giant steps over the bridge, the Twin Towers 'fall' too. I didn't notice that part until watching the last installment today, and the sight made me cry. If you watch this miniseries, be prepared for that very unexpected sight.

Best show ever!
25 February 2015
This is easily one of the best shows that I have ever watched. I've always loved Tony Curtis and Roger Moore, and to see them both together would be the last thing you would expect, but it was the best thing the show's creators ever did. Tony and Roger's characters of Danny Wilde and Brett Sinclair are complete opposites, (except for the fact that they are both rich playboys) and they are truly hilarious to watch. You can see how much fun they had playing their roles, (especially Tony, who was always smiling, doing goofy things, and saying the funniest lines...I'm convinced that he ad-libbed half of what he said). The show was visually beautiful, being filmed in England, France, Scotland, etc. It completely boggles my mind that the show didn't catch on in America! It's such an awful, awful shame, as I could watch this show every day. (I have both sets, and have been doing just that, lol.) If you can get your hands on the DVDs (which are VERY expensive now...I'm sure glad I bought mine 12 years ago) don't hesitate. You'll treasure this show for the rest of your life. OH, I can't end this review without mentioning the AWESOME theme music! One of the best TV themes I've ever heard!

Vulgar and Filthy
26 December 2014
My mother and I were looking for something to watch on TV, and she thought this movie sounded funny, plus she liked (yes, past tense) Jennifer Aniston. Well, 'funny' covered about 5% of the movie, while 90% was filthy vulgar garbage, and the other 5% was actual drama. If you liked Jennifer Aniston before, (like my mother did before she saw this) you will lose all respect for her after hearing the filthy talk that comes out of her mouth through the whole thing. She should be ashamed of herself. Don't waste your money on this worthless excuse of a movie, and certainly don't allow a child or teenager to watch it. It should be rated NC-17, not R.

Maverick: The Thirty-Ninth Star (1958)
Season 2, Episode 9

Excellent Episode!
16 August 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is fascinating, with Bart having $2,600 in a suitcase, which gets stolen from his hotel room. He goes to the room of the person who he thinks stole it, finds the guy dead, and gets hit on the head. Later, a judge who'd been on the same stagecoach knocks on his door saying oops, we switched suitcases. So now Bart has his money back...and the judge has no suitcase. He accuses Bart of switching them on purpose, to which Bart replies "Why would I give you a suitcase filled with money?" So through the whole episode, we watch a bunch of different people (including a girl) trying to get this suitcase, the contents of which no one will tell Bart. He gets kidnapped and beat up by some badguys who want the suitcase, and they threaten him with death if he doesn't give them the contents. Bart and the girl work together to find it, even though the girl told him right out that she'll double-cross him to get it. She does, after they locate the thief--who'd thought that he's stolen Bart's suitcase full of money--and he tells them that he threw the suitcase through the window of a barn when he found no money inside. It turns out that it isn't there, and Bart figures out that there had been a wagon in the barn that the thing had landed on. He locates the wagon and finds a bundle of papers--documents incriminating government people. Bart gives them back to the judge, where they belong. (Turns out the girl was the daughter of one of the government men.) I consider Bart to be the better Maverick, and this episode is one of the reasons why--excellent plot, with Jack Kelly better at drama than James Garner as Bret Maverick was.
