THX 1138 (1971)
THX1138: A combination
George Lucas had learned from the future...1984 and Brave New World. Although this film may be slow in places, the story is important. As prophetic as Orwell and Huxley. Ahead of its time in 1971 and even more frightening in 2020. Worth the time. And Robert Duvall. Always good.
The Philadelphia Experiment (2012)
Not a CheeseSteak
The original was unique and fairly well produced. The remake is not much more than a chase movie with poor CGI special effects. The actors did the best they could do with what they had. Really not worth your time.
Cross Country Christmas (2020)
Adorable!
We all have watched a lot of these Hallmark movies with a lot of the same twists, but this one is adorable. Rachael Leigh Cook is perfect in this role (and so cute) and Greyson Holt really holds up his end. Super Christmas movie for the holidays. So much fun.
Hot in Cleveland (2010)
Hot! Anywhere
Finally (years ago) a program that knows how to poke fun at itself and be as funny as possible. It was about time TV Land told the truth...Let's have some funny. Betty White gives comedy lessons to all those who will watch. Wendie Malick is a delight. Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves help round out the perfect comedy team.
The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)
The Day Your Mind Is Numbed
The original film was a warning. This remake was simply CGI painting with words. This movie just stands still.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)
More than you might think
Some say that this movie is about the Army-McCarthy hearing. No. It is a warning about losing your individuality and freedom. One morning you wake up and you are no long you...you are us.
One of my all-time favorite movies.
