Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Ignore the critics
Ignore the low scores. These were either completed by misogynistic idiots who couldn't accept strong female leads, or folk that couldn't appreciate the science of time travel.
Spoiler alert
There are infinite outcomes in a film based on altering time lines. Killing off a key character is original and believable.
The action, story line and character dynamics were simply brilliant. I love the humour, the T2 Easter eggs and the the originality of a Cameron written screenplay.
Avoid this film if you have the mental capacity of Donald Trump, but watch at all cost of you have a modicum of intellect and a live of 90s cinema.
I loved it!!!!
Good Omens (2019)
Awesome and original.
This show has everything.
Humour, science fiction, fantasy, and an insight into the human condition.
It is very rare that you can watch a TV adaptation and feel like you are also in the middle of a novel.
Intelligent and funny...loved it.
Venom (2018)
Stunning, funny, action fest
I went in to the cinema expecting a standard, super hero, type Marvel film.
What I found was so much more. From perfectly choreographed action and fight scenes, to stunning CGI, this movie had everything.
The acting from Tom Hardy, as Eddie and Venom was excellent. The way the two characters conversed added unnerving drama and dark humour.
If you're looking for action, dark humour and a bit of fun...this is the movie for you.
A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014)
Give it a try....you will belly laugh
I really don't understand why this film has got so many low scores.
It is a comedy that doesn't take its self too seriously. It has likeable characters and some jokes that had me belly laughing.
I get the impression that some people leave a poor review even before they have seen a film or because someone else has given a bad review too.
The cameos were great and the film left me with a smile.
In the Long Run (2017)
Superb, touching comedy
The only criticism I have about this series is that there aren't enough episodes.
It was touching, nostalgic and vey funny.
Supernatural: ScoobyNatural (2018)
Brilliant and nostalgic
As both a supernatural and Scooby Doo fan I was blown away by this episode. It was both funny and touching in parts. I even spotted the Easter egg of scrappy Doo.
What an amazing episode
Cloud Atlas (2012)
Mind blowingly, gob smackingly wonderful cinematic wonder
I am in disbelief that anybody could award this film 1/10. The cinematography alone would be worth a six. Add to that separate stories that would make successful films by themselves, then you have a classic that will be watched over and over again. For those that couldn't spot a link between the stories.... The whole idea is to interpret films yourself.... Like art... All story line shared elements of oppression, militancy, escape and just.... Well.... General story telling... Fab film!!! I also enjoyed spotting the multitude of roles played by different actors....I can't believe that atlas hasn't been recognised in the Oscars.
