Nightmare Alley (2021)
Don't trust the hype
I'm a huge Guillermo fan since PL but this was just a snooze fest. Great cinematography and an outstanding cast but i honestly couldn't even finish it. I expected better from the legend.
Army of the Dead (2021)
Call of Duty Warzone - Zack Synder Edition
It's exactly what we thought it would be. It's great music, excellent cinematography, and beautiful zombie killing scenes. No need for a long review it's what we need at the start of the summer. Let's not forget this is a Zack Synder film.
Strike Back: Retribution: Part 1 (2017)
Get through the first few episodes
Obviously not seeing our original boys from section 20 definitely throughs you off quite a bit but these guys have grown on me. I remember watching the first episode of the series with Damien and thinking i don't know if I'll make it through this but my god I'm glad i stayed with it. This new group deserves that same chance.
The Beach Bum (2019)
You should probably get high first
Honestly we all knew what to
Expect with this one lol
See You Yesterday (2019)
Had potential
Started off pretty good then flopped near the end with an unnecessary cliffhanger. Overall the story and cinematography was not bad at all but it honestly was really frustrating to watch.
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
What a team of writers and directors
As soon as i saw the trailer headline on Netflix I knew i was absolutely going to love this work of art and boy let me tell you I could not stop watching. Every single episode was stunning with characters and scenery that you'd go to sleep dreaming about. It's incredible how they were able to create these worlds and stories within a small amount of time. Netflix has a team of wizards when it comes to their unique and creative ideas. Crazy excited about season 2.
Dayveon (2017)
SIMPLE BUT BRILLIANT
I watched this film on Netflix and let me tell you theres something about independent writers and directors that gets me every time. The cinematogrphy and original score for this film mash together so perfectly. Everything felt real and I felt a connection to these characters as if I grew up with them personally. Once you feel emotionally connected to the characters I feel as though the director and writer have both accomplished something special. At times the film can be slow but the pace and overall vibe I got from this film really inspired me to continue writing and directing my own work.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Disney is playing with us
As always I went into this film believing it was going to be one of the best Marvel movies of all time but once again I am disappointed with the outcome. Don't get me wrong as far as what the fans want to see such as good CGI, their favorite heroes all together, descent action sequences, and random comedy; this film is not bad at all, but I was hoping for the MCU's tenth film to be their very best. two hours and thirty minutes is more than enough time to give each hero the spotlight and display their abilities or heroism but it seemed as if Thor and Doctor Strange were the only two with that wow moment I was hoping to see with almost everyone. RDJ has mastered the art of timing when it comes to comedy and jokes and I loved seeing the bond between him and Tom, but aside that this film was just so ehhh. Banner was Hulk literally for three minutes then for the remainder of the film is bruce which is the exact opposite of what the fans were hoping for. Towards the end of the movie during the climax I was expecting some of the best action sequences Ive seen in years and they were so mediocre. I feel like it was such a waste of talent from the actors themselves and for the heroes. Overall the film is a great blockbuster to take the family to for a good time, but I would not see it twice.
