Can I Tell You A Secret? (2024)
Really worth to Watch
I can't understand the negative reviews. Yes it could have been shorter, however the feeling of being stalked for 2 years is really felt.
It makes you feel for the victims what they have endured and the frustration with police support.
It also again stresses the dangers of social media and how one can be to depending on it.
Good to hear that more support now is in place for the victims. It is good education material for the youth with the message, be open and talk to your relatives and friends so that they know what is happening. I was surprised how the victims where less believed than online messages.
Tenet (2020)
Overrated? To complicated for me
I thought I was quite smart and started watching this movie. I was really looking forward experiencing an well designed storyline.
In the beginning I was a bit annoyed by the way the dialogues where going. I looked like James Bond at beginners level.
The during scene in Tallin the plot was becoming so complex explained that this was the moment I stopped watching.
A the fun was gone.
Sorry, I like action films with a twist but this twits was screwed.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Interestingen theme, relevant for the era, could be edited 30 minutes shorter
The story itself is quite good and the angles from various parties are played good.
It is therefore a pity that several parts are long-winded.
Great cast.
The Invisible Man (2020)
Interesting plot, but sometimes to difficult to follow
The plot itself is interesting but to way it has been filmed and showed
Sometimes I feel that filming scenes in the dark is not realistic (eg entering a house)
The blood at the medicine bottle easily could be checked on DNA
In the scene in the police station, she could have fired in the hall after the first agents went down.
He drove just less than a minute in front of her to Sydney. Her father was much earlier at the home than her.
The timeframe was not that good
Bling Empire (2021)
Just simple entertainment
I am not a fan of the Real Housewife series but did like the Selling Sunset and this is in the same atmosphere
Next to that, they appear to have issues which develop in the episodes and that is nice to see.
Looking forward to season 2
Emily in Paris (2020)
Ally McBeall meets Bridget Jones
Nice comedy, which starts a bit slow but as the characters grow it becomes sometimes really funny.
Shots from Paris are great, but if you have never been there, don't be shocked if it is a bit different.
Enjoy, especially episode 8. This is full of word jokes
Million Dollar Beach House (2020)
Nowhere near Selling Sunset
This is hyped as the alternative to Selling Sunset but it is not close. Houses are spectacular however and that makes it nice to watch
Dirty John (2018)
Season One, excellent, season two was less impressive
Season one was perfect. The story itself is more "unbelievable" and still based on true events. Season two was a more recognisable story, still quite extraordinary and for that time a good image of "how things happened". Season two from my perspective could have been condensed in lesser episodes. Acting is very good
Wisting (2019)
catchy thriller with some unbelievable elements
The storyline is nice and so are the characters. However, a pity that some elements are not so realistic.
E.g. the final scene in ep 6 at the well. But also the fact that a policemen is held fully responsible for a failing judgement system. Next to that, the investigation of the missing girl (e.g. check friend, computer etc) is not effective. Also in the bunker, when Frank entered, he found light (was his first time there).
However, enjoyed it very much
Space Force: The Launch (2020)
Didn't make me laugh once and fell asleep
Had high expectations, but it even didn't make me smile. That I fell asleep tells it all.
Selling Sunset (2019)
Nice houses and complicated relations
No difficult plots but nice twists in conversations Instead of "who dunnit" is it "who said what, when, to who about whom".
White Lines: Episode #1.10 (2020)
8 for the total series but the plot is awfull
I like the total serie until the final episode. This has to much twists that it makes it to unbelievable.
In episode 1 Marcus claims he has no knowlegde of what happend with Axel.
There will be a season 2 probably, but not for me
Outer Banks (2020)
A nice mix between drama, action and a mystery
Although the plot and timelines are not always correct ( or has some flaws), the storyline is intriguing, the characters are interesting and the scenery is stunning.
It has something for everyone.
La casa de papel (2017)
It is not getting better
Started in season 1 and 2, the storyline was not always credible but twists very interest. As the storyline continues, in season 3 and 4 events are becoming to unrealistic. That is a pity
Spenser Confidential (2020)
Disappointed
I had, based on critics reviews expected a pleasant movie, inine with John Wick, Taken etc but the plot, humour and action was not as expected. The end scene was a setback. I expect Spencer II. Wil Not end on my wishlist.
Little Women (2019)
Nice movie with a somewhat to smooth end
I don't know the book, so I do not know how close it is to the original story.
The whole story explains the situation of women in that time nice. That is good. However the ending is far to "sweet"
Dunkirk (2017)
Impressive but not realistic and overdramatic
The movie Itself has perfect special effects and the story lines are good. However consistency in weather conditions is not good ( one shot the beaches are smooth and the next shot big waves are hitting the beach). Also the visual of one spitfire landing on the water shot from the air and from the boat are not coherent. The overdramatic landing in the end of the spitfire in the beach with the soldiers waving is not adding to the feeling of looking at a historic epos. It feels like looking at Independence Day. More of these moments, to many to my feeling, have been added to a story which is good that it is been told to a broader audience.
Criminal: UK (2019)
Not so inspiring
Saw 2 episodes. The first was ok, the second boring. Acting was good, but the story line/plot was not convincing to me. A pity, looking at various reviews I had expected more
