Really, light humored, fun, if you like theme episodes and the old classic movies this light to entertain you. And let's be serious.mina is a truly pretty lady. Heather Locklear was the most stunning blond ever, and this lady could be her reincarnation.

Look, let's be serious. The movie is flashy and fantastic, buried in cgi and special effects, and the plot is rather obscure and strange. What makes the movie good is that it does go over the top. This movie dazzles.

Obnoxious characters with predictable faults. Predictable action. Predictable failures. In the end, we were given a cliffhanger that indicated that not only were things not resolved, but now, the situation has worsened exponentially.
My wife turned away after seeing the first episode and I wanted to drop it by third or fourth, but I just can't walk away from things that easily.
After it's all done, now, I realized that Carlton Cuse was responsible for Lost. Another series that just deserved to be abandoned at birth. It was nothing but a long running game, and inside joke on the viewers. If I had known, I'd have left this alone. Instead, I am left with my brain feeling like raw liver.

Peter Ustinov was one of the great comic actors. Between his skill at creating well voiced characters and his comedic flair, a number of films that he has performed in are just hysterical.
Dean Jones is silly and neurotic. Susanne Pleshette is, as always, a harridan. The rest of the cast do their job as comic relief in the old disney fashion.
I know that it is far too late to pull it off, but there should have been a sequel. "Silky's Revenge". Silky returns to his life of miscreancy after a six month term in the county jail, determined to settle a score with the entire original cast.
One must remember, Blackbeard was not exorcised, he was merely set free. When Silky threatens his friends and family, he returns and foils Silky's ill-advised plot to cause mayhem in any way he can.

Once again I am trapped into saying THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING THAT I HAVE EVER WATCHED!
I don't even know where to start. maybe it is best defined by the time that the cute girl was infected by an extraterrestrial space virus, and all of her nerves popped out of a big sore on her back and went crawling away while she screamed and died.
It's nice to know that starships still have greasy, dark engineering sections, that mechanics on starships still use crescent wrenches, that professional starship crews act like whiny little babies when they aren't being screaming terrible twos. The best thing about it is that there are only about ten of them. A nimitz class aircraft carrier has the population of a small town, but these people are crossing the stars without even enough to form a decent basketball game. Don't start. Seriously.

It was a chaotic, poorly written mess, with little dialogue or plot. The only interesting plot line was the presence of a non english speaking character and the way she interacted with and understood the others.
It ended without resolution, as the entire plot of reaching the stadium fell apart, the stadium was empty. I tried to turn it off but the others in the room found it to be too compelling.

I read the book half a century ago, so I have not watched it with aggressive attention to the details that many do. I watch the movie as one familiar with the story, but not obsessive about minutia.
What is important about this film is that the story is fantastically done. The casting was well done, every character has their role perfected.
One thing that stands alone with this high budget version is the magnificence of the film. The sights and sounds of the countryside, the marvelous scenes and sets, the score, the film can absorb you completely.
Watch it on a large screen and let yourself be overwhelmed.

I started watching, and found the dialogue to be stupid and predictable. The story was vague and undeveloped. By twenty minutes it had devolved to three men playing hide and seek in the fields while trash talking over walkies, sounding like a bunch of children playing some game of 'kill the bad guys'. My child wrote better stories than this for her fifth grade class

It was a good, well executed movie for its type, my wife was even enjoying it until the last half hour. Good suspense and decent acting, good atmosphere and good sets and sites. In the end, however, it wound up being nothing but another hacksaw murder scene.
