Halt and Catch Fire (2014)
Best most underrated tech drama
SO GLAD I WATCHED IT!
Ofc it's lost in the shadow of Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and Mad Men but it's very equal to them from aspects of writing, frames, shots, lighting, symbolism, characters' development and their interactions! So much like real life!
First, I watched it because of Lee Pace (such a hot, great but unfortunately underrated actor!) and Mackenzie Davis, but the show was really engaging. (loved her appearance in Black Mirror and The Martian and Happiest Season).
At first, it seemed a bit of a weird assemble to me, but as the show went on, I realized the cast were wonderfully chosen! They were all amazing in showing their characters! They were all a great fit! I admire all of them!
I knew Toby Huss first from Bedazzled (loved the gay scene!) and was glad to see him in all four seasons!
Kerry Bishé just became my new favorite actor!
And Scoot McNairy was also another actor I did not know. He was hell of a Gordon Clark and really pulled this off!
I connected with all of the characters and cared for them a lot!
And what a bittersweet ending! I cried a barrel in the last half of the last season but sad doesn't mean bad, quite the opposite! It was a very appropriate ending! I miss them all!
Thank you AMC for making this awesome show and not cancelling it!
(I'm so glad it wasn't all about a bunch of nerds who talk tech all the time and make the audience feel like an idiot!)
Cruella (2021)
Maleficent Number 2! Watch it with no regrets!
WoW! This movie as an independent story (and not related to the animation 1961) is really a piece of work!
Just like Maleficent. At first I doubted to watch it but it completely changed my mind to a very positive opinion!
The most creative fashion designers gathered to make this miracle happen. A masterpiece! Thank all of them!
The filming and the way the cameras move are amazing!
The music! THE MUSIC! How can I explain it with words?! Just listen to the soundtrack album and the best songs of the 60s and 70s they've chosen!!!!
You're my new favorite composer Nicholas Britell!
Of course the actings make it greater. (Emma Stone reminds me of The Favourite!)
And Emma Thompson is dreadful, as always, in a positive attractive way :D.
Watch it. You won't regret it!
The Life of David Gale (2003)
One of the most underrated movies
I don't write reviews, but the recent news of Mr. Spacey motivated me to tell you this movie is just amazing. (I watched it long ago).
The acting is great and the twisted story is really a masterpiece. It will shock you until the last very minute.
The plot is wonderful, about death penalty. I won't say more.
If you consider the news, it is very ironic.
If you haven't watched it yet, please put it on the top of your watchlist.
