The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Kind of tired of that same Eleonor's sad look
I had high hopes for this season. I knew it was a different story... different actors and... wait!!! Different actors? Yeah... why not hiring different actor (and I won't even mention Henry Thomas's horrible British accent) if it is a different story?
Victoria Pedretti plays the very same sad-looking girl from the Hill House. I just grew weary of that, I guess. Also, the fact that it is very still has made look at it negatively. Maybe my expectations were too high... Or I am very demanding.
Hunters (2020)
Had me interested until... its finale.
I was really involved. I loved it. I know... the comic parts... stereorypes... it might not be that well appreciated by others. But I got it. We had comic book fans there... we had a team of pariahs fighting for better days and, above all, for justice... cold blood justice.
But the ending... Gee... It feels as if the person in charge of checkig it was away or not concerned anymore.
The plot twist is the worst ever. Unbelievable... but not in a good way. You just go like "No... please... no. You can't do that to me. I have already wasted more than 9 hours here, waiting..." And it keeps coming.
I was really disappointed. So disappointed that I don't even want to watch a second season should it come.
The Boys (2019)
So much there to be discussed and learned
My first opinion, right in the beginning was "Oh, no! One more super hero thing in which danger happens all the time to justify there is a super around!", but, fortunately, I was wrong... Right after that, I kept on being surprised over and over again... Such a delight in watching it although, at the same time, so much hypocrisy with which we deal on a daily basis (politics, I'm looking right at you).
I am still thrilled by that. Brilliant!
Cloak & Dagger (2018)
A more boring Sense8.
4 episodes so far and... BOREDOM!!! Non-charismactic actors... Hard to follow. Too much drama and too little action for a comic book based series.
Kristen (2015)
Surprisingly interesting
It is practically a monolog... But the tense moments and suspense manage to carry the story and the viewers towards the end. I confess I was scared at some moments and afflict at others.
In short, it was great to watch it on a Saturday night.
