Sad way to end Indy
10 July 2023
This movie is 100% action, 0% story, 0% heart. The only way this qualifies as an "Indiana Jones" movie is that it features Indiana Jones. Other than that, it's just mindless action with no story at all. It was a mistake to have an Indiana Jones movie not directed by Steven Spielberg. Even John Williams' heart was clearly not in this. For a while, I was wondering if he even did the music. Just disappointing on many levels. The whole beginning of the movie was unnecessary to the story. It could have just as easily been something mentioned in a conversation between two characters. And all of the artifacts that Indy ever dealt with, the Dial is the most pointless.

Very cute movie

A very sweet romcom. Pleasant, feel good movie with a number of chuckles. William Shatner, Christopher Lloyd and Jean Smart are always a delight and they are given plenty of room to be themselves. There are worse ways to spend your time.

Just another vilification movie
9 October 2021
First of all, this movie is not about "road rage". Not in any sense. It has the chance to do what so many movies fail to do and that is to draw attention and sympathy to the plight of men who are absolutely abused by the family court system, discarded, financially drained and ignored. And what does it do? Turns that person into an evil monster. I am really so sick of it.

I hate this couple and I hate this show
22 September 2021
Terrible. First of all, to the producers/director... Do you think it's stylistic to open each episode with the crew and the actors getting ready to shoot? You think that purposely taking us out of the world you're trying to create is somehow engaging? It's not. It's idiotic. Thank God other shows don't do this.

Other than that, these people are so unrelatable, so unfamiliar, that I can't possibly feel any sympathy. They don't say or do anything that normal people say and do. These are people I would avoid at a party. Any way, I can't finish the show it's just too irritating.

What a disaster

I pity, absolutely PITY, the writers of this movie. I have never seen a more plot-devoid travesty of poor writing than this movie. Pointless. Non sensical. How are writers like these given a chance in Hollywood? I thought it was hard to make it in this business? Well guess what folks! I guess they're accepting anything nowadays! Get those screenplays in!

Critics need to get a life

Negative reviews kept me out of the theater. Thankfully my mom talked me into watching this. What a beautiful, heartbreaking, well written nearly perfect movie. And the soundtrack is gorgeous and rips your heart out. There is nothing negative to be said. The performances are splendid across the board.

Terrible

No spoilers. All I will say is I HIGHLY recommend War for the Planet of the Apes if you suffer from insomnia. What a boring train-wreck of a movie. I would have slept through it if I wasn't so irritated by the music. I've always been on the fence about whether Michael Giacchino is a good composer or not, but this settles it for me. He sucks. And Matt Reeves should give up directing and somebody needs to break his hands before he attempts to write anything ever again. A movie so bad it ruins the rest of the franchise. Even Charlton Heston is spinning in his grave.

Sorry, this movie cracks me up
24 November 2015
It saddens me to see so many poor reviews of this movie. Lighten up people. I think the vast majority of this movie is fall off the couch funny. It's like, get a sense of humor folks, and lighten up. Seth's dialogue is hilarious, the cameos are brilliantly low key, and Sarah Silverman and Giovanni Ribisi are freaking hilarious. It's a refreshing, enjoyable modern perspective on the wild west and definitely one of the better fish out of water comedies. Shout out to Neil Patrick Harris as well who is spot on as the snarky, annoying snobby antagonist who still manages to be intensely likable. Do yourself a favor, ignore the stuck up wannabe Roger Eberts on here, sit back, relax and enjoy it.

Thoroughly underrated movie
6 September 2015
This movie is actually quite awesome and gets better with each viewing. Hands down one of Tom Cruise's best performances, also underrated. The plot is wild and even a little heartbreaking and M83's music is simply unbelievable. The movie is quite beautiful.

I feel bad for Jack Harper and his crew. To not be who you think, to not be on the right side and not know it, to be stuck with someone else's memories... and it's quite though provoking to think about the meaning behind these memories and what it means to be someone.

Shout out also to the special effects which are among the best post- apocalyptic renditions I've seen.
