Movie needed a good script. If you're going to knock off The Strangers then kick it up a notch. It's like a Satanic After School Special.

Trigger Alert

If you are an addict, it may be too much. But Edie Falco and for that matter, the entire cast delivers rock solid performances. Scrubs on Oxy. Straight on look at addiction and it's relentless hold on users and their families and everyone in their orbit. The series shows heavy drug use and I DON'T recommend if you are struggling with addiction.
Sunshine Cleaning

Great script, character depth, evocative

Just a perfect piece of art. From Amy Adams performance right down to her stretched worn out v neck, to Emily Blunts venerable tough girl...this movie is perfection in its simplest form. Blockbuster performances on a small budget. Then you add Arkin on top? It arcs like light in a diamond.

Not nearly as bad as these reviews reflect

It was different. I enjoyed it. Some action. Suspenseful. A lil creepy. Performances were really good from everyone, especially the two teens. Strong supporting performances. Funny where it needed to be. Certainly not a one, two, or even three star review.

Quite a fun little movie

Come on people, are we so spoiled by super huge blockbuster budget movies that we have forgotten the "fluff movies"? There is a place for fluff films. This movie was a very fun movie, with adventure, and comedy, and yes the occasional corny clichés. For those of us who love all movies, you will enjoy this. It was Oscar worthy compared to the final Indiana Jones movie. Anyone who knows me, know that even saying that is some pretty serious stuff. Why does everyone think that all movies should be profound, and thought provoking theater? This was a great date night movies, stay at home on a snowy or rainy day, curl up on the couch and suspend disbelief for a couple of hours. I thought it was fun. Lighten up folks!!!
