L'astronaute (2022)
Watchable, has its moments!
If you expect First Man or Martian like I did you might be a little disappointed. It is mostly a drama focused on a main character's lifelong goal to travel to space, and people around him that believe in him and support the idea, no matter how crazy it is.
Other than a nice and somewhat believable story there is not much to offer of value. Main and supporting characters were not likeable and believable and production feels low budget, but they have everything they need which I admire.
It is not a movie I will remember or recommend to watch, but I don't feel sorry for watching it, it had its few moments and makes you feel a bit better about having somewhat impossible dreams.
The Menu (2022)
Original, unpredictable, funny, dark, inspiring, unforgettable.
A captivating roller-coaster ride keeping you at the edge of your seat, comforting you in the one moment just to shock you in the next.
Original story with some incredible moments invoking different reactions at the same time.
Telling anything about this motion picture would br spoiling it. Don't watch the trailer, don't read the reviews, the less you know what to expect the better you will experience all the thrills it has to offer.
And believe me, they are worth it!
So choose your partner, make a reservation at your favorite cinema and order yourself a menu you will never forget, guaranteed.
Dopesick (2021)
The most important story you can witness on a screen
Unbelievable, shocking true that affected lives of so many in the last two decades, brought to life with incredible cinematography.
It is said that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, so take a lesson you will never forget, for you and those around you and enjoy this amazing story.
Homeland: The Star (2013)
Good, bad, ugly.
Homeland is one of greatest shows I ever watched - phenomenal plot, superb acting and nice production kept me watching first three seasons almost in a breath, but after watching this episode I feel sick and sad for wasting my time. Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) came as a protagonist of the whole series and was definitely the most interesting character, and had the most interesting story. His family members also had great plots and their interconnecting was real thrill and pleasure for eyes. Stories of Carrie, Saul, Quinn etc. weren't bad but not so much thrill as watching Brody - so after taking him out of this series there is no point in watching Carrie being in psychosis all the time. Boring.
