Unfinished Business (I) (2015)

Not Vaughns Best, But Still Enjoyable.
3 June 2015
The amount of negative reviews I have read about this movie is really disappointing which may be one reason to blame for such a negative result at the box office. This is not a bad movie, it certainly isn't great but certainly not deserving of a 1 or 2 star review.

The plot and story are standard and predictable, but still enjoyable, the characters have been poorly written, especially for Franco and Wilkinson and along with this the side plot with Vaughns characters children at times felt like i was watching two different movies.

Where this film really fell short was the editing, I felt that it was edited very poorly, I know there was a solid film in here somewhere but the way it has been edited has left audience members confused, underwhelmed and completely taken quality away from the story.

Vaughn delivered a good performance, the best that he could under circumstances, and I am glad that he has admitted that he feels he has made mistakes and is going to try and improve his career.

I give the film a generous 6 out of 10, it is a good movie to sit back and have a few laughs to.

A Really Good Time, if your under 25.
8 October 2012
I'd like to think of myself as a veteran of these types of films, I am only 18, but I have seen the majority of the movies in this genre, from American pie to roadtrip, animal house to old school and vandwilder to the hangover.

Mardi Gras: Spring Break is a real solid effort and an enjoyable film. It me be a B grade straight to DVD film but don't let this turn you off. If you are into College party, teen sex and crude comedy then you should enjoy this film. The acting is surprisingly good, the story may not be original but is still interesting and familiar to a younger crowd, I can't really think of a negative thing to say about this movie but I will say its not the best movie like this but its definitely not bad.

If you feel like getting pumped for going out and partying or are just a long time fan of party movies then I would definitely recommend Mardi Gras: Spring Break.

Saw 3D (2010)

A real slap in the face to Saw fans.
7 October 2012
I think it was about 2006 when I watched the first Saw, and then the second and then was just in time for the third one coming out. This Trilogy is by far the best horror movie trilogy and the most original I have ever seen! I became a fan and went and watched the movies 4-6 every year and the purchased each one on DVD, and although the films got worse each year, I had faith that the final Saw would be amazing, tie everything together and end the series with a huge finale and twist.

This was not the case at all, this is by far the biggest let down of a movie for me, out of every film I have ever seen, this disappointed me the most. Not only does it use the same structure story as 3,4 and 6 (someone having to save other people), it was defiantly done the worst, the characters were not likable which kills the suspense of the traps, which were also the most unoriginal and just down right stupid traps of the entire series, I could of thought of more interesting and realistic traps that the stuff these writers came up with. The casting was just horrible, and the core series characters (Jigsaw, Gordon and Amanda) were given no where near enough screen time, but instead the writers chose to introduce all these new characters in 90 minutes and then rush through the plot points that related to the rest of the series. Just writing this review is frustrating me, so I will try to wrap it up. Basically, this movie was just made for money, and the producers only focused on the Gore aspect and completely didn't even care about the story of Jigsaw and his "legacy". I was the only person I knew that kept saying "Saw isn't just about the gore, its got a great story that's actually going somewhere." Well thank-you to everyone involved in the writing of Saw 3D as you have now proved me wrong. You managed avoid to wrapping up all the plot points left hanging in previous films, which really let all your fans down, if you enjoyed Saw 3D, then you are really not a true saw fan. You really took Leigh Whannel and James Wan's original idea and really just pooped on it. 4/10 is me being generous.

The Watch (I) (2012)
7/10
Shouldn't be below 6!
7 October 2012
I'm really confused as to why this film is scored below 6 and slandered with so many negative review's. I am a fan of all actors and the director so as you can imagine I was very excited for this film but when I started seeing negative reviews prior to viewing the film it did lower my exceptions a bit.

But there was no need! I loved the watch and I would consider it one of my favourite comedy's this year along side 21 Jump street, Project x and of course American Reunion. I found at least a hand full of really laugh out loud moments that the whole cinema joined me in, the acting was great, just as expected with such a big cast. Notable mentions are Will Forte, Richard Ayoade and even though it was short, the lonely island have a hilarious cameo! The story was interesting and paced well, I found myself interested and enjoying myself for the whole hundred minutes.

So overall, Don't believe the scores on here or from other critics, The Watch is definitely worth a watch with a few mates, Its funny, action packed and an all around good time, I definitely recommend!
