RRR (Rise Roar Revolt) (2022)
No sense
The movie starts off OK, but quickly becomes apparent that all the efforts has been put in to only capture great cinematic shots. You don't feel for the characters. The story telling is poor. It doesn't hold or captivate you. The movie just becomes boring after the first 30 minutes. In fact it becomes non nonsensical after that. Things become so unbelievable and stupid that you never get involved at any time in the film. It is shocking that the same director has made Baahubali - one of the most iconic films in India. Very disappointing movie, not recommended at all.
Tiger Zinda Hai (2017)
There is no logic here
Tiger Zinda Hai had a lot of expectations because of the teams prior movies. But, this movie is a total disaster. I really don't know what Kabir Khan was thinking. Right from the start the movie goes in one direction, down. It just doesn't pick up from there at any time during the film. The worst thing about the movie is lack of logic throughout the movie. The terrorists, for some reason, only fought with knifes. All the fight sequences where Salman or Kat would fight 10 at once, would make me wonder if only these terrorist would have had a gun - the movie would have ended in 30 mins. The sequence near the end where Salman comes of the door with a big ass machine gun to fight with an army of terrorist just made me laugh out loud. All these trained militants could not hit there target sitting like a duck in front of them, but Salman managed to hit all of them! Wait, the stupidity doesn't end here. There is also a sequence were terrorist have leaked poisonous gas, but it doesn't effect Salman because he has wrapped a cloth around his face!
The Revenant (2015)
Ordinary story
My thoughts about this movie - ordinary revenge story, set in a period background and in a very cold place, that's it. The movie was not gripping, not thrilling, not intriguing - in fact it was boring sitting through the movie. There is nothing great in the story. I am not sure what the director saw in the story that he decided to make a movie of it and that too a pretty long one.
Chennai Express (2013)
Good Entertainer
I did not have any expectations from this movie considering how much I hate Rohit Shetty's Golmaal series. But, I was pleasantly surprised. This movie has good comedy which can actually make you laugh. The dialogues are new. Good comedy situations created. Some scenes and situations are rip off from other south Indian movies, but still as a package, this movie still works. SRK is awesome. He rules this movie. He is the one who doing all the comedy, drama, romance and action. You will love the movie more if you are an SRK fan. Deepika is good. There are no or very little dull moments in film. The movie goes through various twists and turns and keeps the interest all along. As the movie progresses, there are good comedy situations created which are in sync and doesn't seem out of place. Overall I really enjoyed this movie. The second time I watched it, I was still laughing. Hats off Rohit and SRK
Stanley Ka Dabba (2011)
Stanley will make you laugh and cry
Stanley ka Dabba is one of the finest movies in the Hindi film industry. It is a simple movie with great subject, great performances and equally great direction. It is not an easy job to get such splendid performances out of school children. The movie touches a very important subject in India in a very unusual manner. Hats off to the director! Special mention to Partho for portraying the character of Stanley in almost perfect way. I hope Amole Gupte continues making such amazing, thought provoking movies in future. The movie is just about an hour and half long, yet it captures the childhood of Stanley so well. This one is for every age group - Stanley will make you laugh and cry.
Rangeela (1995)
Must watch! One of the Best Hindi films
Rangeela is one of the best Hindi films. Everything worked perfect for this film. Story, acting, direction, dialogues, music - all perfect. The film has a simple story about a girl and her dreams to make it big in the film industry. But, the way it has been executed by RGV is exceptional. Urmilla delivered great performance and looked her best. The comedy by Aamir Khan is incredible and makes you laugh even today. Hats off to the dialogues by Sanjay Chell. Jackie Shroff does a great job in his role. Special mention to the music - It is one of Rahman's best. Ever green songs which still sounds fresh. Rahman could never reproduce this kind of music ever again or he never got the opportunity. RGV made a different film than his usual genre and it worked out so well that this is easily one of his best works. This film has some supporting characters which people will never forget like pakkya and the waiter at hotel
Bol Bachchan (2012)
One of the worst movies
This is one of the worst movies of all times. This is one more Golmaal rip off. I don't understand why the director is obsessed with Golmaal. He has already made a string of sequences of it. There is nothing to laugh in the film - not the situation nor the dialogues. There were one or two good comedy dialogues by AB in the whole film - that's it! Krishna also fails at comedy, he cries in a particular way whenever something bad happens in the film. It is supposed to be funny - I don't think so! AD speaks some weird English language, but again not funny. Prachi Desai looks sweet and Asin does OK in whatever chance she gets. Overall - one of the worst films. If such directors are encouraged in the industry, then I don't see a good future for our films.
