No Activity: It's Not a Cult! (2021)
Rubbish
Trash garbage. Why would you do this to a very good show.
Zombieland: Double Tap (2019)
Good solid movie
Good movie with plenty of gags and good old fashioned zombie slaying. As usual Woody Harrelson was fantastic. But good was Zoey Dutch. Brilliant. Absolutely stole the show. I think they bought her back from the dead when they realised how good she was.
Magnum P.I. (2018)
The difference
The big difference between this and the original. Better production and much better photography. And they are still making it. Reviews are typical. Not sure how you possibly compare this to an 80s show.
The Good Fight (2017)
Fantastic.
From the first minute of S01E01 it was obvious that this show was going to be political. Not the politics of Chicago but thanks to the Orange Numpty USA. Go Christine Baranski.
Siren (2018)
Enjoyable
A not too bad show about Meetings. But really great to see Rena Owen (Once were warriors). in this
Fear the Walking Dead (2015)
Mediocre minus
What was once mediocre has progressed to a few steps below. Certainly one for fans only.
City on a Hill (2019)
Off to a good start
First episodes do tend to try to much to establish characters - this one did to a certain extent but the show has not overly done this. Kevin Bacon is his usual excellent self. Looking forward to a long life for this one.
The Virtues (2019)
Excellent
Gritty. Gross. Disturbing. Brilliant. Excellent TV. As only the British can make it.
Dirty John (2018)
Great
Shaping up to be a great show. Erica Bana is excellent in the role. Looking forward to more.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Absolutely fabulous
A fantastic movie. May not be 100% factual and may be a rose colored glasses view of Freddie's life but who cares. The music of Queen is so brilliant. Remi "Mr Robot" Malek is brilliant as FM.
The Romanoffs (2018)
Not a bad show but
What is the point of doing this half french and half English
The Conners (2018)
Not missing the Harpie
When the show came back Roseanne was a bitter twisted person, it is actually great to see it without her.
BoJack Horseman (2014)
Where were you
OK so I admit it took me a while to discover this show and when I did it was sort of yeah what's all the fuss about? and then after a couple of more episodes it was where have you been all my life. Fantastic animated series an humanoid horse human lost in a sea of self pity and loathing. Will Arnett at is best ably supported by Aaron Paul and the rest.
The Nun (2018)
Brilliant
Fantastic horror pic. Possibly the best scenes since the "door" in the Exorcist all those years ago. The scenery was great and the Abbey set up perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Sinner (2017)
Great show welcome bACK
Season 1 was riveting must watch TV. And after watching the opening episode of season 2 shows the same promise. Love the characters and the story lines. TV at it's best.
Insatiable (2018)
What a gem
Almost missed his one - and I would have been very unhappy. It is a great comedy and covering new areas. The US pageant scene. All the old cliches - fat girl gets skinny added to coach who used to be skinny, great characters.
Love DA Bob who's only interest seems to be getting his shirt off.
Five episodes in - it's not a Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad so one star short.
The Meg (2018)
Great bit of fun
The Meg a great movie with Jason Stratham in lead . A story about a huge pre-historic shark. Great show actually. Solid performance from an actor who continues to impress Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black) and Robert Taylor (Longmire). There was a fair bit of oh really in it but I don't believe it was meant to be taken all that seriously. Jason Stratham does corn really well.
Succession (2018)
Doubt at the start
Must admit I was a bit doubtful about this show and it's premise. One reason I followed it was for the actor Sarah Snook - and memories of her in that great Australian mini series - The Beautiful Lie.
Must say I am glad I decided to stick with it - an excellent show and I wish it a long run.
The show centers on the family not the industry.
The Outpost (2018)
Is terrible as far as you can go
I try hard to find positives in most things I review or see.
This one makes it not almost impossible but impossible. Bad story, bad acting and bad CGI.
I will keep watching to see if it crosses that threshold so bad it is good, plus I am retired and have time on my hands.
