Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman (2021)
Disgusting
Everything about this movie is gross. Everyone involved should be ashamed. I can't believe this actually got made and that anyone involved thought it was a good idea. Yikes.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Coup de Grace (2009)
Justifying Racism
A white cop with a documented history of racism murders a black cop, goes on a racist rant, and then they try to justify it by saying he had poor vision. Brass was coddling him. Catherine was making excuses for the blatantly racist things he said. Greg treated a black witness like garbage. This guy shot a man in the back without even announcing himself at the scene at all because the man was black in a "bad neighborhood". And the show had the AUDACITY to use their tokenized black CSI (Laurence Fishbourne) to basically say it was okay and not racism. I know I shouldn't expect better from a cop show but this was just absolutely disgusting.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Ch-Ch-Changes (2004)
So Transphobia
This whole episode is so, so cringey and grossly transphobic. The constant misgendering, portraying the trans community as freaks, blatant disregard for any actual facts about the trans community. Its all so bad.
Nancy Drew: The Celestial Visitor (2021)
Bravo CW
This show is a cheesy CW mess. There is no doubting that. So many plotholes and spoon feeding of information and complete destruction of what Nancy Drew really is. That being said, this episode, like the previous one, tackled real topics that we rarely see discussed on television. So I applaud CW for taking the time to incorporate representation and education into the story. The hateful reviews here only prove why episodes like this are necessary. I hope some of you actually learn from the episode instead of whining. Remember, the only people who get offended by shows tackling topics like LGBT acceptance and racism are bigots.
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018)
Bless Your Hearts
Beautifully done movie. The cinematography is absolutely stunning and the stories are thought-provoking and haunting. I truly pity the negative reviewers that so clearly lack the intelligence to comprehend and enjoy this film. This is NOT a movie that spoon-feeds its audience. If you can't follow along and use critical thinking skills I suggest watching a Michael Bay film instead.
The Twilight Zone: Not All Men (2019)
Making Manbabies BIG Mad
All the negative reviews from triggered men are just proving the episode's point. Toxic masculinity is a choice boys. You can either get over yourself and grow, or stay toxic.
