The Avengers (2012)

8.5 seriously?
29 August 2012
don't misunderstand me I liked this movie but i just don't think it deserves to have 8.5

So according to IMDb's top 250 this movie is better than: Fellini's 8. 1/2, Stalker, A Clockwork Orange, Raging Bull, Kill Bill, and most of Kurosawa movies?? The Avengers in my opinion is just an enjoyable movie, actually one of the best superhero movies ever made (after The Dark Knight trilogy of course)

I think this movie is incredibly overrated, and I really hate that people think is one of the best films ever made. when its far away from that

Small details are the reason why I love this movie

Solo Con Tu Pareja, one of the most original films ever made in Mexican cinema (along with Cronos). This might not be the best Mexican movie but al least is my favorite one, It's such a fun movie to watch. Lubenski's photography (as always) is great, the art direction is interesting and the actings are good. I admit this is not a perfect movie the climax is kind of dumb, but what can i say, there is something about this film that i just love. Maybe is the old stereotype that we mexicans do about ourselves.

Solo con tu pareja is a pornographic comedy that involves drunk Asian people, microwave suicide dogs, homemade jalapeños' slogan, little paper cones, suicide, and sex. Those little details are what i love about this movie, like Tomas running for the newspaper completely naked every morning.

Probably the best movie ever made.

After watching this film several times and analyze it, all I have to say is this: ¿Why isn't this movie on the list of the best films ever made?

Why isn't this movie consider a cult classic like The Seventh Seal, The 400 Blows or La Strada. In my opinion this movie is by far better than those films.

Luis Buñuel's crude reflection of a reality that still happens in Mexico. Buñuel presents us a bunch of characters (specially kids) living at the streets, almost like animals surviving by instinct. I loved the fact that this movie doesn't set a solution, it is just a story about a generation of future criminals and murderers, and the story will keep going and going.

these kids are The Forbidden Ones, the unborn ones.
