Me Before You (2016)
Summary
When a critic can't find words to describe a movie, that's says a lot. Im not considering myself even amateur critic, so I'm even more speechless.
Jojo Moyes, brilliant script. Every aspect of the movie is create with perfection. There is 1 error tho- the shoes of Emilia Clarke were way too loud in order to hear all the conversation between the parents without getting detected by them.
Emilia Clarke, good as always. That eyebrows man, that eyebrows, perfect face muscle control. She can act every emotion perfectly!
Sam Claflin, he could be better, he need to develop his talent further.
As for support role i give my gold medal to Stephen Peacocke. His acting was without a doubt the best from the support crew.
Janet McTeer, she get my silver medal. Especially on the scene from the airport, when they returned from the vacation, brilliant act hands down.
Sleeping with Other People (2015)
A good one actually.
I expect this movie to be much worse, but it happened to be really good one. Nowadays with that stress from work and the "computer syndrome" the count of the lonely people are really big. There is literally no time for romantic dates and "courtship" especially in the big cities, so everyone just enjoy the "one night stand". And the sad thing is that many woman's are in situation like Lainey's one.
Alison Brie good job on that act, but the golden star goes to Jason Sudeikis. He have a good voice by default and he really get into the role in this one. The support crew was good too, i don't have any complains for them.
Nerve (2016)
Brilliant!
I don't have the right words to explain what this movie actually is saying. Thats not so good for a man wanting to become a critic, but for this one its true. I doubt even the writers realize what they actually create!
This movie represents every single no- life gamer out there. And i say no- life because that is a real thing. 20+ 30+ even 40+ years old without family, not only husband/wife, but parents too if they live in different city/country in rental homes. No friends, just nothing. No- life means your "friends" is the computer and the strangers and i will caps here- STRANGERS that you play with. In the movie Vee had a few friends, but the writers made it as clear as possible that she is a wallflower. No-lifer gamer doesn't have time to eat (and i mean it !!!), sometimes he doesn't have time to sleep even! And the worse thing is that the no- lifer thinks this is actually a good thing- to play for 20 hours and to sleep for 4. And that in most cases is life threatening, exactly like in the movie. Every single no- lifer, that realize what really happened to him will recognize himself in that movie. The sad thing is that in most cases there is no "happy end" for them. I know all this because i was/am? a no- lifer and i hate it!
Emma Roberts, brilliant! Her act was perfect. The worst act winning prize goes to Machine Gun Kelly. Dave Franco good like always but he should continue develop his acting skills, so far so good! Emily Meade, you have much to learn.
Bad Moms (2016)
Not a comedy, but a lesson!
This is a movie that no men will understand, so ill do my best here! From my point of view this movie describes exactly what happens to the women when they give birth in 18-20 years old. I don't know much about the writers, but i assume at least one of them is from such kind of family.
But overall in the movie you don't actually see that the main actors are career woman or even remotely busy all day. May be Carla is exception here, but all the other moms didn't left the feeling that they work for 40-45h a weak.
Mila Kunis is a great actress, but she was not a right one for the main role here, because she don't have an "overworked mom" body expression.
The best act in was made by Christina Applegate, hands down. Her makeup crew did fantastic job.
This is a good movie, but let's say it, not a remotely close to the real life situation. But hey, that's the movies for right?
Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
There is no limit of the human courage.
Mel Gibson had been criticized by the press so bad, and still he prove that he is a brilliant director. I believe that this film is and will be his "perl".
Nowadays the war films becomes more like an action movies, especially these ones that are fictional. They are more concentrated in special effects and are less focused on the story. Hacksaw Ridge prove that professional movie making is still alive. It proves that the story and the feelings it gives are and always will be more important that the actual effects. This movie shows the horror of the war, and it show it as close as possible it can be.
Andrew Garfield without a doubt was the perfect choice for this act. He did absolutely flawlessly. His talent is way way better developed than his act in spider-man and if he continue in that way he will get recognition on award season.
The supporting cast was good too, but their roles are just that ...supportive and they did it well.
It's still only January and Gibson raise the bar so high that i doubt some one will make better war movie, or even movie that touch your hearth like he did.
