Human emotions to the core displayed beutifully

I watched this movie in International Film festival in Kerala, India .

Set in the backdrop of undivided Sudan where Elite arab and Working class Local sudan people live together in Khartom. A Southern Sudan man is killed by an Arab because of a misunderstanding . Police remove his id card from the body and term it as "dead in rio" to save the Arab man. But his wife bribe the police man and find the details of the Southern man's wife and kid and bring them to her house . Then onwards it a saga of human emotions flow cutting the black and white divide. All charectors including the kid are well crafted . First sudani film I saw. Perfect story and direction + Good acting by all charector. The film also shows the plight of womanhood in Arab families.

Punaradhivasam (2000)

A family story with deep insight into marital relations

This movie , I did not watch all these years thinking it is lousy movie. Now I watch it in Youtube. The story line is going deeply into the relationship of 2 couples. Both of them selected their because of the special situations in life. How such compatibility strains the relation in future is clear in the movie. Also it tells us loving a person mean loving everything he like. But both the women characters are self centrist which make the life of the partner hell. All lead actors played their role very well. The songs and the climax are little odd and boring . This is the first movie of VK prakash. Overall this movie is worth watching , if you are interested in human emotion stuff.

Chalakkudykkaran Changathy (2018)

Tribute to kalabhavan Mani. Well made

I watched this movie without any expectation. But found that it is a well made movie. The expertise of the director vinayan is visible throughout the movie. It is not biopic, But mostly based on kalabhavan Manis real life experience and also vinayan's own experience in Malayalam film industry . We should be thankful to Vinayan for taking this effort which came out as the biggest tribute to Late Mani. Recommend to watch the unknown aspects of Manis life.

Ente Ummante Peru (2018)

A wonderful plot , could have been more Cinematic and Thrilling

This movie is about a Young man searching his roots- Mother After the death of his father. Good part of the movie are very straight forward story telling , no gimmicks and superb acting of Tovino . But the bad part is casting . The soul of the movie lies is three woman charectors. But they have nothing much to contribute in the story. I also I feel urvashi is clear miscasting. The life if his father yesteryear would have been slowly unvailed during his meeting of each woman he has in life , should have made the movie interesting, But the director did not spent much time on that. In short a good storyline, with little more work on Screenplay would have resulted into a movie which is rememberd for years. Nevertheless it is a good movie to watch with family. Expecting Wonder ful movies from the director in the future.

Central Station (1998)

Loneliness the terrible state in life

This film deals purely with human emotion.And director did this in a heart touching way. A boy in search for his father with an old lady who is not related to him. The most beautiful and sincere movies i watched in 2017. A Must watch for those who are interested in movies portraying helpless human in various turns of life.

Ramante Edenthottam (2017)

Watch this movie which deals with emotions

This movie is dealing with the issues which a majority of Indian couples are going on. Post marriage life becomes a totally routine exercise and the beautiful things in life is limited to children. The lead character in this movie, Malini ( yes . this is a heroine oriented movie )is living such a life . Just by coincidence he is meeting a Raman during a vacation trip to his Eden resort. As a friend he shares his life view point and that gives he a new mood to her and she re-starts her dancing career as dance teacher. The relation between Malini and Raman goes to a very deep level and next year also they meet at resort.

This movies goes against all conventional expectations for a climax. If you look at the sequences alone , it will not be an interesting movie. But if you can travel with the thoughts of Malini , which is very well portrayed by Anu Sithara This movie can be enjoyed in its full extend.

Raman played by Kunjako boban is also good , But lack of detailing of his emotions is a big minus . Joju as elvis also performed very well .

This movies should be watched for the novelty of its them and also for the fine location of Eden garden. But I think a conventional movie goer will not like this movie because of its slow pace. wish director should have made is little more pacy , so that it should have been liked by all . The three characters in the resort have no role to play and the scenes which they are there is not bringing laughter .

Overall Ranjith shankar deserve an applause in taking such a bold theme and making a movie by bringing the best out of lead actors.

Uyarangalil (1984)

A landmark movie in Malayalam. Strong script by MT

This film should be treated as landmark movie in Malayalam , because of 2 reasons. 1. The main character is not hero but anti hero. Viewers knows this , but not other character. This is a different kind of crime thriller, sure this will be a first of this kind in Malayalam 2. Mohanlal as an Actor has shown his acting skills which later we have seen in his movies

So I suggest all readers to watch this movie. Very well scripted and directed well. Will be a nice watch.

I Have watched this movie as part of my mission of watching all Padmarajan Movies . He is one of my favorite directors. This movie is also an example of skill as a director who can visualize all kind of subject and portray it beautifully in celluloid

Mohanlal and mammootty, Karthika do their acting effortlessly. There are three more female characters who are suspects in the crime.

The flip side of the movie is that, The investigating officer is not reaching the culprit using his intelligence ,by chance he reaches to him.

This movie shows the courage and positive attitude towards life , which will help to over come the your shortcomings. The sexual life exploration in the age of 40's and the emotional pain it brings is beautifully depicted in the movie. On the acting dept , Both leading characters did a commendable job in making this movie an emotional masterpiece

He Who Must Die (1957)

The pain of people getting exiled from their homeland and the struggle to get a place to settle down is beautifully depicted in this movie.Same thing is happening in Europe now in 2016. The Christian priest on one side speaks about humanity and at the same time stands for sectarianism and finally the man who stands with poor is crucified.One of the powerful movies i saw which is relevant at all times. Human emotions sympathy ,love is depicted in this movie in a heart touching scenes. The love of father towards his son is one such thing which will last in your memory for quiet long time after seeing this movie. The cinematography is top notch.

Guppy (2016)

Guppy gave great hope in the beginning, But Final product is average

Guppy movie is well set in the backdrop of a colony where a teenager live with his disabled mother making small income doing all kind of jobs including breeding Guppy fish which is used by corporation to kill mosquito larvas in drainage's.

With the arrival of en engineer to construct a railway over bridge movie takes a turn , after which it loses direction in its story telling and makes unrealistic twists which makes it really boring at the end. If little more attention is given to make the script realistic, this would have been a wonderful movie. the railway gate man stabbing an engineer just because the bridge he is planning will make him jobless is the most unrealistic part of it.

However the performance of all actors , especially guppy, mother ( Rohini) and engineer ( Tovino thomas ) is good. Overall it is a watchable movie for its freshness and camera-work, But don't expect more

Karingunnam 6's (2016)

A big disappointment - Karingunnam sixes

I started watching this movie with great hope. Sports movie , Manju Warrior , Anup Menon, Director Deepu karunakaran. Team was very good. But the Thrill a sports movie should create is missing in this movie throughout.

This is primarily because of shaky script, where lot of illogical things are there. Two main points i could not digest are

1. Coach vandana knows the team is practicing is jail ground without shoes. Why she couldn't foresee that , this team will fail if they don't practice with shoe in an indoor court. This is basic thing which a coach should do 2. just before semi final match, Dougles ( babu antony) is released from jail. I could not understand why he cannot play in the forthcoming match. Even in the last match we see him sitting in gallery. He could have participated and avoided the melodrama of bringing samudrakkani in that match.

The biggest disappointment was Manju's performance . Even though she was a volleyball coach, we never saw here playing along with the team.It needs a lot of hard work to play such role by understanding and practicing volleyball, Looks like manju didn't do that.

Chakde India , bhag milka bhag were two perfect sports movies where each viewer was on the edge of the seat during climax scene. But karingunnam sixes failed to create that excitement during climax. To add on to this , Jagadeesh presence was really a pain during the match.

Nil Battey Sannata (2015)

A Pleasant surprise from Bollywood

This film coming from a too much commercialized Bollywood is a pleasant surprise. Well crafted script and good direction and excellent performance from the lead actress makes it a memorable movie.

It portrays beautifully the dreams of a widow mother about her only daughter and her fight using limited capabilities to achieve the same.

Swara bhasker as mother of a teenager did an excellent job and it is hard to believe that it is her first movie in a lead role.

Director has also succeeded in getting the natural performance from theyoung artist's. performance of supporting cast is also good especiallythe head master.

With this film Director Ashwini Iyer tripathi can pull a chair and sitin the front row of current Bollywood directors.

This film has got a message which is important for north Indian villages. For sure this film will bring tears at least once while watching it.

The Song of Sparrows (2008)

A movie worth watching For splendid acting and Good narration

This movie underlines the fact that a movie belongs to the director, How he treats the theme and narrate the story. This movie is about a very ordinary man living in the outskirts of Teharan, Finding it very difficult of get the income sufficient for the family, But happily living with them.The struggle of a common man is beautifully enacted by Mohammed amir Naji. He really deserve an applause for his splendid performance throughout the movie.All other characters in the family also given very good performance.

The first few minutes of the movie is in a ostrich farm where the protagonist is working. Those who have not seen ostriches in real life this is visual treat. Similar is the way in which two wheeler's are used as Taxi in Tehran.The silence of Desert is beautifully captured in this movie. The background music is also very apt. Overall this movie is a pleasant experience , thanks to the care taken by majid majidi in each scene.
