The Bible (2013)
Good show. ignore the other reviews
This, is in fact a nice show, of course it will modify dialogs, of course it shows a little bit more of this and a little less of that, of course it does not show EVERYTHING of that tick book with a tiny font, of course some people will hate it because it is not what they imagined (just as harry potter fans complain about the movie not showing EVERYTHING of the books either).
don't listen to them. - Good acting. - Good production. - Decent effects. - Sticks to the real story (of course with some modifications, who cares) - and the best of all, i think it does show the story in a neutral point..
so as everything in life nowadays...."haters will hate". so shut your mouth and enjoy the show. do not expect too much from a mini series but it was better than expected for me.
Les Misérables (2012)
Great movie but not for me.
It is a great movie as some other reviewers have said, great acting, great singing, great story.
i personally do not like musicals but i gave it a try. not my kind of movie, i enjoy a lot of kinds of movies but this one was truly boring, the story was predictable (and do not bring me the classic arguments like "we all know what will happen", or "it is based on X or Y story") i do not know anything about the origins of the story, and i do not care about it.
it was predictable, boring, sometimes i just started thinking of other stuff like homework and after 5 or 10 minutes i went back to the movie and yet i had missed nothing special.
i cannot say it was not a great movie in every angle, but i personally didn't find it "fun to watch", and sometimes i even wanted it to over already. but i think it was all because of the "musical" movie style.
Give it a try, do not expect a movie that will mark your life.
Arrow: Pilot (2012)
You've got to be kidding me
All right. so i watch the pilot episode of a series with 8.4 points, i do not expect a lot from a pilot which usually have lower budget than the rest of episodes. but common! the rich guy suddenly knows EVERYTHING? from killing people to internet transfer of untraceable money? from high-tech computer installing in an abandoned warehouse to making his own super-weapons?. in general the acting is from regular to bad, the effects look quite fake, and honestly it looks like they wanted to fit a long story in 20 minutes. i'll give a try at the 2nd episode, but if it doesn't get WAY better i'll just send this one to the failed series book together with alcatras and American horror story.
