My brother had just started watching this when I went over and ended up watching it with him. The budget for this movie must have been through the roof with all the people in brightly colored armor and the special effects. IT kept my interest since it was basically aliens versus the Chinese with the help of two white men. What can I say. I was hooked within minutes of watching it! This also reminded me of another movie...Crouching tiger, hidden dragon. Apparently, gravity is much lighter in China than anywhere else in the world. Saw that kind of thing in this movie...just not to the extent of crouching tiger. It was a fun movie, and I can't believe I'd never seen a preview of it, being a 2016 movie. It's a good one folks! Just got through watching the Meg 2. I thought the first one was a stretch, but maybe could happen. This one, while interesting was just so farfetched and ridiculous. That I was asking myself...how LONG is this movie. Is it over yet? That's a bad sign. I appreciate that most of the cast returned for the second movie, but the constant comedic quips and outlandish fighting scenes, like firing a .50 caliber firearm while leaping sideways to shoot a prehistoric creature is just one such instance. I know movies like to go bigger and better than the first movie, but really...it was a bit TOO much. I'm praying there isn't a Meg 3 in the works. Peace.

Let me start out by dedicating this review to my late wife, Pamela. We watched horror movies together all the time and guessed what score they got at the end and went to IMDB to see who got it right. She passed away February of this year and this is the first horror movie I've seen without her. Miss and love you baby.
OKAY! I didn't see Scream 5 and I've seen from reviews that this was better than 5. Good lord. Scream 5 must've been THAT bad. It's slow getting into it but picks up nicely. Not really seeing anything I haven't seen before in any other scream movies. One thing that really bothers me is how the people getting stabbed are just shaking off these injuries like they're nothing, or Ghostface getting hit in the face with an Iron skillet. I mean...that's death right there. It's just not realistic. Really wish they'd stop making these things. Ghostface loses in the end and the killers are revealed in the end and blah blah blah. It's just the same movie over and over. Stop already! Peace.

Just saw this movie with my brother. We had intended to see it in the theaters, but it just didn't happen that way. So, Redbox it is. The movie isn't bad, but DC really needs to read some of its own comics. Black Adam in the comics would not say his name because he's over FIVE THOUSAND years old. If he would say Shazam, he's return to his mortal self and crumble to dust. That didn't happen. Also, just how did he learn English so fast? Pretty sure that language didn't exist back 5 thousand years ago...and who is this Cyclone? NO idea who this person is. All in all, it was a decent film, but I still feel kind of let down...was expecting more. Still a good watch for a movie. Peace.

I've just watched the Menu and WOW! This movie had me at the edge of my seat from the beginning! The acting was top notch. You can't fake that type of terror. I really can't describe this kind of movie without giving away any spoilers, but I'll try. A group of wealthy elitists, who can afford $1250 per person go to this private island to dine at the mo0st exclusive restaurant, with a famous chef, at first, things are normal, but then things start to get weird...and I mean want to run screaming weird. You have to watch the rest. Trust me. It's worth watching! It may be a onetime watch, but I enjoyed the hell out of it! I hope you do too! Peace!

I saw this new series advertise on ABC as one of its new series and immediately wanted to check it out. I just get a feeling when I see a new series...like I did when the series Castle came out. Thank God it's steaming on Hulu because I work all day Tuesday when it comes on. I like all the characters in the show, I like that the lead character has a learning disorder and does his job better than anyone else in spite of it. His partner obviously hates him for the investigation of her mother that ended her career but is forced to work with him at the request of her captain. His on and off again relationship with his female homicide officer he grew up with in foster care is interesting and to sum up, the whole thing here just works. I see this series going for a long time and I'm grateful to the people who brought this to life on ABC. Peace.

I saw the first Jack in the box, and it holds two things I'm scared of. Clowns and a Jack in the box. Hated those things since childhood. Just the music the box makes gives me the creeps. While this movie is creepy...it just wasn't scary. The filming location for this movie was excellent and the manor and the grounds were beautiful. I thought the acting was good as well, but the plot was just like the last movie, kill 6 people to obtain a wish. Two movies like this should be the limit. I don't think this same plot will work a third tine. It's hard to believe they even gave it the green light for a second movie. Peace.

Where to begin. While I enjoyed the acting throughout the movie, I just thought it would be better than what it was. The main character witnesses the suicide of a woman who is clearly disturbed, ends up killing herself while smiling at the therapist/main character. What follows is some sort of entity that haunts her though the movie. What bugs me is while she did research the people who encountered this same supernatural phenomenon, it's never really explained. Most horror movies discover where it came from and some even suggest how to combat it. This just did not. Not a happy ending, by the way...but it IS a horror movie. You should expect that. This is a one watch for me. Peace.

When I saw this trailer, I knew I wanted to see it. My first love is Werewolf movies, but Vampires are a close second. I love a good Vamp movie...I'm going to see dayshift next, but the wife won't be watching that one with me. Says it looks stupid. We watched this one together, though. It was really good, but if you're looking for a scary vampire movie, better move on. I mean, this movie has some maybe spooky moments, but at no time was I scared. No jump scares either. Woman does a DNA test and finds out she's related to this HUGE family in England. She's invited to a wedding and things are fine at first and it just gets stranger the longer she stays. It's a great watch, but not a scary one. I still loved the movie. Great acting, good plot and the scenery was top notch. I recommend this one to watch. Peace.

Looking for a good movie...even a decent movie is hard to find these days. SO much crap to sort from. The trailers you watch and see the immediate cheese right away...ugh! But this trailer was worthy of the watch. No cheese...decent acting and I liked it right away and selected it for my wife's and I to watch on movie night. A group of kids are selected to earn detention first week of the year and they are locked in by their vice-principal. Soon after, the kids start telling stories of the school spirit that makes the bad kids of the school vanish. Kids soon start to go missing and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who the "School spirit" is. Kinda obvious, but I'll leave you to watch the movie and decide for yourself. It's a really good watch...A whodunit if you will. I love those. It's really worth the watch, guys. Peace.

I remember seeing the first Sinister, but my wife and I were looking for a movie and came across Sinister 2. It's 2015 movie that I guess we missed. The acting was good, and the storyline is creepy and interesting, but I can't put my finger on it. It had some jump scares and the films the boy had to watch were disturbing to say the least. I don't know. Just didn't like this enough to give it anything higher than a five out of ten. Really didn't like the end...maybe that was it. Most horror movies don't have a happy ending, I've come to expect that, but this one just left you hanging. Hate that. Give it a look if you haven't seen it before but do it just once. Peace.

I saw this trailer on Hulu and it's the only reason we didn't cancel our subscription. Now that I saw it, it's $7.99 I could have saved. I did see Prey through Hulu and that was EPIC! Loved that movie! Sadly, this was a hard miss. It just wasn't scary to me. Sure, the Grimcutty character was creepy, but not exactly a jump scare. Don't exactly follow how this thing was created, but it's a manifestation of a parents worry of their child or children. If that were true, it would be unstoppable. I'm a parent and worry are of part of life, even if they are grown and out of the house. This is just a bad script that really should have been shot down once it was proposed as a movie. It's interesting, but not really a scary film. Judge for yourself, but I'd call this a of time. Peace.

I really hoped that She-hulk Attorney at law was going to be good...and for a while, it was. I've read She-hulk comics as a kid, and I get the breaking the fourth wall concept. It's funny...up to a point. I just watched the season finale and it's really out of hand. It's to the point where you're torn to find out what happens at the end with wanting this farce to just get over with. The animation is very cool, and the transformations are great. But the story is just everywhere and hard to follow. Everything that happened over the last few episodes just got erased by the finale and the overuse of the "Breaking the fourth wall." It's ridiculous. If there is a second season...and frankly, that's a BIG if, I hope it's better than what has happened in the first season. Peace.

Okay This might take a while. My wife suggested this movie, so it's all on her. I saw the trailer and it seemed scary, so I agreed. First of all, why does is say during the first part during the plane landing Italy, 2008 when it's a 2021 film? Weird, right? Next...the acting! How did these people get the part for this movie with their acting, and for the love of God...who did they turn away?!
Interestingly enough, if you look at the movie on IMDB, and look at the actors who played in the movie, ONLY 3 have their pictures. The rest, nothing...like they don't want to be recognized or tied to this film...or maybe they just didn't make enough money from this movie to get some headshots. By the way, didn't even finish this movie...made it halfway and just COULD NOT watch anymore. The script is so bad...the acting is so...SO BAD, it hurts. All the actors were so monotone, no personality at all and yet, the scenery was decent. The mansion was beautiful and the road scene traveling to the mansion in Italy was breathtaking. Funny thing, I read some of the reviews and they all were 1's... except 2. Now ladies and gentlemen, let me talk to you about FAKE reviews. These are people who are somehow tied to the movie, producers, directors...anyone trying to drum up some type of support for their piece of crap film that they seem oddly proud of. Out of 17 reviews, 15 were 1's. Two were, get this...10's. One was one from Darkreignentertainmentuk and the other was from Loststeve. Guys...a blind man would agree this film should have been burned upon completion. Make it more believable! Do a 5 or 6! This movie is so terrible...seen better acting in porn. Just don't watch it! Peace. Oh yeah...six kids go to Italy and stay at a mansion where things go wrong when they unleash a witch. There.

I think this should happen to every rapist. A story about a celebrity chef that goes out to his remote dead father's expensive villa for a retreat for the weekend. He ends up meeting his five female neighbors. The movie takes off from there and it's great. Not to spoil the movie, but what happens to this guy is well deserved for what he has done. I found the movie to be a bit dull at first, but once it gets going, it all falls into place, and it's got some bizarre moments to be sure. It's not a jump scary movie, but it really keeps your interest. At one point, I kind of felt sorry for this dirtbag, but all is explained at the end and it's great. See this one! Peace.

I was at no point...scared during this movie. My wife and I couldn't decide on a movie to watch, and it was getting late, so we just agreed to watch this piece of garbage. We even drank alcohol during the movie...didn't help. That's a bad sign. The acting was bad. The story was bad. Who would agree to be paid 200 dollars to be experimented on, with a side effect of sleep paralysis?! NO ONE! The doctor's mumbo-jumbo about sleep paralysis was enough to put anyone to sleep! The movie got a surprising low 2.3! I guessed 3.9. My wife guessed 4.2. Wow. We were both overshooting this complete waste of time. I hope to GOD they didn't spend a lot of money on this piece of S***! If you see this for rent...and you will, it cost us on YouTube $5.65. Please...there is so much you can spend your money on with that...buy a burger...donate to a homeless shelter...ANYTHING! Just wait for this rubbish to be free before you watch and HATE yourself for viewing it. Peace.

I've been wanting to see this movie ever since I saw the trailer. Definitely worth waiting for. Rented it on Youtube and just finished it. The child actors were great! They are going to be even better when they get older. Ethan Hawke was seriously creepy as The Grabber. All in all, a great film to watch. Keeps you interested all the way through. Fins sister is a Badass in this movie and loves her brother very much. It's also nice that she's been given a gift that helps out the police. This is weird, I've written shorter reviews, but 'ol IMDB keeps saying that my review is too short and needs to be at least 600 Characters. I may have to cheat a little and tell you about my day. I woke up on the couch because my wife hates my snoring. I played some Playstation 4 for a while.

Ever wait for a movie to come out and it's a bitter disappointment? THAT'S what this movie is to me! It came out today on Disney+ and I was so amped to see this one! IT'S MOSTLY STUPID! Sure, it's got a few serious moments, but again mostly stupid and goofy! So far, this is my LEAST favorite Thor movie. The other ones had a few laughs and funny moments, but this one was obviously written by a gag writer! The beginning starts out with Thor on another world with the guardians of the galaxy, minus one member, (I'll let you figure out which one...) and it just gets stupid from there. I'm REALLY glad I didn't go to the theaters to see this. RAGANOK was better than this! And by the way, the ONLY reason I gave this a higher than 4 rating was then ending made me misty. NOT cry...just, misty. Peace.

My wife signed us up for Hulu and I didn't get into it at first, but one of my friends told me that this new movie Prey was going to be a free movie exclusive, I was thrilled! I just watched it, and it was amazing! A little slow starting at first, but it speeds up nicely! That it one bad little Indian girl! It's nice to see that woman can kick some serious butt like 'ol Schwarzenegger! This is something I'd watch again! Great movie!

So many things I want to rant about here. Leaving your kids for days with someone you really don't know...forcing your kids to like someone 6 months after your mother dies that's going to be your new stepmother. This movie has it all! PLUS! A remote nice house in the middle of the woods where no one can hear you scream, especially when your NEW stepmother is on anti-anxiety meds. Have to blame some of this on the kids, though. Watch the movie to find out. Hated the ending...really no closure, but you kinda get how it's going to end. One watch movie, folks. Peace.

I've been wanting to see this for a long time and I finally got to see it tonight with my brother and it was SO freaking good! This is a movie I should have seen in the theater! Man has these ten rings that give him tremendous powers endless life. He's lived for a thousand years and finally falls in love while trying to find a hidden village known only by legend and he wants to make it his. He is confronted by a beautiful woman who beats him in combat...even with his power, he loses...and falls in love with her. She gives him two children and you get to watch the rest. Trust me! This movie is SO worth the watch. Action...humor and incredible fighting scenes and AMAZING CGI effects! WATCH THIS MOVIE! Peace!

There are movies that are fun. There are movies that make you think...and there are movies that are interesting. Take the fun part out and this is that movie. The opening got me hooked. A guy comes into his house after checking the mail and just happens to notice a DEAD BODY in his living room. Naturally, he freaks. What freaks him out even more is that it's HIM. It's quite a tale, this movie...and It WILL make your head hurt and bonus...the ending sucked. I bought this at the Dollar General for $1.95. I paid too much. Peace.

I watched the trailer to this and what I saw was pretty scary and there were genuine moments of goosebumps. However, what I thought was normal movie was a series of short stories that kind of reminded me Creep show...only that was a good movie. Creep show stories all had endings. All of these were cut short with no real closure. They all told stories around the campfire to promote their podcast in the middle of a haunted forest. The last story was their last. It was interesting, but not something I would recommend to watch. Only a few jump scares. Just don't do it. Peace.

Finally got my wife to watch a movie other than Horror. Don't get me wrong, I like horror movies...don't get me wrong, but sometimes I like to watch a movie with a happy ending...like this little gem called Lost City. Kind of reminds me of Romancing the stone. I watched that move a dozen time and I still love it. Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum do a great job in this movie. They have good chemistry and the movie is just fun to watch. I was surprised to see Brad Pitt in this movie, however. His role in it was so limited...it's weird to see him in a film for such a small role. His part had a lot of action in it, though. Anyway! It's a really good movie to watch and you won't be disappointed you had to rent it off of Youtube for 7.99. Peace.

I took a look at these reviews just to get a handle on what people thought of it after I saw the movie, then I realized that was a mistake because, well...people are Idiots. This was a great movie with action, betrayal and love. Besides that, I got my wife to watch a Marvel movie!! How great was that! The only reason she did is that she's a big Horror movie fan and she loves Vampire movies. I'll take it! Other Marvel movies, she rolls her eyes so hard I can actually hear them. Jared Leto played a wonderful addition to the Marvel universe, and I can't wait to see the sequel. Loved the ending and am still a little confused about Michael Keaton being in the movie, but I'm willing to see where it goes in the next one. Peace.
