This Is Us: The Night Before the Wedding (2022)
This Episode is the Heart of "This is Us"
I have not cried over an episode of "This is Us" THIS INTENSELY since the episode Jack died.
I have been waiting, wishing, and hoping for the episode that Kevin finds the love of his life. As soon as Rebecca stumbled upon Sophie, up until the end of the episode, I was uncontrollably bawling like a baby.
This is exactly what this show it about. I watch it to cry, to feel, and to long for a family, similar to The Pearson's, of my own one day.
The writers did good by us viewers who have been fans since season one. Thank you, for giving our Kevin the Happy Ever After he has always deserved.
Undeniably heartfelt. Absolutely incredible. 10/10.
ETA:
To those saying "Team Sophie"... she has been in love with Kevin her entire life. Wouldn't you root for her to be with the man she loves if you were really "Team Sophie"?
Yes, Kevin cheated and MADE MISTAKES when he was very young. He literally spent his whole life regretting that. With that being said, it's clear that no person will make Sophie happy the way Kevin does. Stop being bitter and trying to make the episode into something it's not.
Team Kophie!

Reviewing While Viewing
So far, I'm about halfway through and I'm annoyed, frustrated, and I've probably facepalmed about a half a dozen times.

The movie has a decent rating, but so far I'm confused as to why. It all started when they crash the car - cliché. The boyfriend gets stuck, but doesn't just put his seat down to become unstuck. He ends up telling his girlfriend to run and find a road to get help. She doesn't do this.
Instead she runs about 20 feet away and hides, where she falls asleep for the night (somehow). She wakes up and finds her boyfriend tied up with barbed wire and a dog's choke chain around his neck. Instead of running for help, trying to find a signal immediately, or taking one these hellion children's bikes, she decides to watch her boyfriend get tortured. The ENTIRE. Freakin. Thing.
Fast forward to the ending:
She finally gets to the road after accidentally killing one of the "innocent" boys and who's car does she get into? None other than that boy's older brother who takes her BACK to the place she finally escaped. (Texas Chainsaw, anyone?) She steals the van and drives off, speeding up to smack the girl (who didn't do any physical harm at all) which instantly kills her.
Woo-Hoo! She got two! Oh, wait... They weren't important. Anyways, she keeps driving and of course like all cliché horror films, she gets a little too excited and crashes the van. Then walks into... YOU GUESSED IT! The family's house of the mastermind behind all of this torment!!! And boy, do they "take care of their own 'round here".
If you like horror films with happy endings, this isn't the one for you. If you enjoy predictable horror films, you've come to the right place. I enjoy realistic horror, but the world is already a dark place. I wanna see final girls and revenge in my horror flicks. "I Spit On Your Grave", "The Last House on the Left", etc.
Killing Ground (2016)
Missed Opportunity
I honestly really enjoyed this movie, but I feel like they had a HUGE missed opportunity. I haven't seen it in a while but I know that it was impactful because I found it after all this time - after forgetting the name of it. I would have gladly given it a more solid rating if they had ended it differently.

They missed a huge opportunity in that they could have had an AMAZING revenge scene at the end of the movie. After what they did to these families, especially the baby, I wanted to see some "I Spit On Your Grave" level revenge. Truly disappointing that the bad guys win in the end. It was enraging and felt like a giant let down.
Spontaneous (2020)
I really tried to like it.
I just couldn't get into this film.
I didn't feel emotions for the characters as much as I normally do in movies.
I feel like it was dragged on and there's no explanation for anything.
Yes, it very well could be a metaphor for school shootings, but it just missed the mark.
The love story was mediocre, there were no parts of the movie I actually laughed out loud at, but I can say that I enjoyed the love for cinema the characters had and the soundtrack was good.
Burn (2019)
Dull, uneventful, and anti-climactic.
A very boring and uneventful film. The "plot" was filled with loose ends and it didn't make any sense at all. Normally I am very generous when reviewing/rating movies, but this one was pointless and I wish I would've turned it off halfway through.
Josh Hutcherson's character robbed the store so he could pay off some "really bad" biker dudes who later come to the store. They weren't scary at all and they served no purpose in explaining why he owed them money (unless I missed that part).
The main character was strange but it didn't explain why. She is a virgin who just wants someone to love her, but she is definitely mentally disturbed. She burns herself with coffee everyday, throws herself at every man she sees, and takes candid pictures of the officer who comes in daily. After she ties up the robber (Hutcherson) she begins to rape him.
Her coworker was a jerk but was honestly the best character in the film, but sadly this was short lived as she is shot and killed within the first 30 minutes of the film.
The whole movie was boring and it was hard to make sense of it all or even figure out WHY it was made in the first place. No hidden message, no action, no blood/gore, and NO COMEDY. Don't waste your time.
The Sweetest Thing (2002)
Women are non-conforming in a movie for once.
The people that are bashing this film are the ones who believe women must act a certain way, or they are men who think women aren't funny.
This is no different than any other raunchy comedy, but the roles are finally reversed as the women are the lead roles.
For those saying this movie made these girls completely "unattractive" have never really seen women in their natural state and are used to what society has pushed on us for decades.
"Women are to be seen and not heard" is what I interpret from all these bad reviews.
This movie is funny, charismatic, and cute.
M.O.M.: Mothers of Monsters (2020)
Don't waste your time.
Literally the longest and most drawn out movie I have seen in a very long time. The acting wasn't that bad, but the plot was horrific. Boring. There's no twist. No blood. No gore. Not even a psychological thriller. You want a good psychological thriller? Watch Midsommar or Hereditary. This movie is garbage.
