Pravednik (2023)

Like a Schindler's List, and even better

You don't have to be Jewish to appreciate the WWII drama in this movie. Despite the title, there's nothing joyful about the events portrayed. It's all about how people react under unspeakable circumstances, and the cast does an excellent job of reflecting each character's transformation and hidden heroism.

Every moment of this movie is captivating, and it's a shame that it hasn't received an Academy Award nomination yet. Although the 2023 winners were doubtful IMHO, they should not receive as much publicity as this historical drama, Pravednik, based on true events.

The stories of the Righteous Among the Nations are so unique that every notable participant deserves their own story-based film. I hope to see more movies from this director and author on the big screen, and I want to thank them for their incredibly professional job.

Thank you Vadim, I love the beats and storytelling. I like the way you markup highlight without blood and drama is reflected as it happened in real live. I personally trust every behavior of characters. Keep going man, keep going.

Highly recommended for family view. Well-ballanced Sci-Fi storyline reminding me Indiana Jones and The Martian movies, no rough scenes, no blood and no zombie, zero erotic and nudity makes it perfect for any age and family.

Devil's Pass (2013)

Above expectations

I did not expect much, but I was good surprised by the last part of the movie. Starting from detailed documentary of suspicious mystery the story become more and more thrilling with every development. Good balance between storyline and rhythm of the movie. Medium part should be the end for most Hollywood movies without any wonder, but that was not the finish line. Unfortunately low budget shooting at the end but excellent shift of time and lovely transformation of principal characters that turns fantasy to science fiction. Underestimated IMDb rates probably because people don't recognize Russia and military style, but my own eyes of witness recognize it as a true footage. Recommended for people with open mind and writers as a good example of drama development.
