Comparing this film to "Jaws" is nothing short of ridiculous!
"Jaws" is still the best movie ever made in its category. "Open Water" is only slightly interesting...but what's worse is the quality of the film itself. The lighting and colors are equal to a bad porno movie. They could have done a better job in the presentation. It was not scary at all...two little shark bites on the legs and a few fins hardly visible in the water was the extent of the scare. The two actors did a pretty good job in the water with each other but other than that...it's not up to the hype.
Rent "Jaws" again and enjoy a real shark movie.
