Embarrassing

This may be the worst show I've ever watched. You have to consider the budget, the backing company, and the actors, there is no excuse in the world for how bad this is. The plot (SPOILERS) was written by bad AI.

SPOILERS.

Ok so one sailer out of hundreds of thousands survived, then had enough smarts and money to collect a group/ nations to allow him to alone track down his ship?! No one else survived? If anything he did, did they not have money? Why are you doing this alone? So no nation knows of this then or now? If they do how do they maintain secrets? Not just from people- which in episode 1 we learn no one can do- but from nations?

After all that how did no one adjust the first episodes with more critical info?

At this point without getting half way through the series you have no idea how many Kaiju will come, why or who will they fight for, or how will we expect next rounds?

As Above, So Below (2014)

Shaky cam shaky cam shaky cam. You never get to see what's actually happening. Some people like that they don't explain much- but they do Jack all with it. No, this is in no way relatable to Dante's Inferno. It's just Blair Witch in tunnels. You can tell what's harassing them and there's no dialogue to explain anything either then RUN, HELP HIM, WE'VE GOT TO GET OUT OF HERE, as you just look at walls and stuff. I wanted to like this movie so much. Other people gave it such good reviews I though my nerdism of religious history would pay off.... Nope. It really is just shaky cam with random people being bloody. Oh well.

When Evil Lurks (2023)

Great movie- on THIS budget omg

Ok.

I love old school horror movies that don't rely on BS jump scares and CGI.

This movie isn't perfect.

In the second half you may notice some plot contradictions like I did. And yet every actor gave it their all.

This is a new take on possession horror.

The pacing is perfect.

It's really hard to not put spoilers in the review because some of them might convince you to watch this!

As a southern American surrounded by churches of all types, and having known many Catholics, this take is refreshing. In a messed up way lol.

I won't say this is a 10/10 movie. BUT. If you're tired of the same old gore Schlick then this is for you. I appreciate the actors giving their all even though the screenplay isn't perfect. Hope you don't like dogs.
