Did Chat GPT write the songs and animate parts of this movie?
8 March 2024
Parts of this movie are good - for sections, the animation is beautiful, then in the next scene, it looks like a cheap YouTube video - the script is good, and then suddenly the animals are singing about "shareholders" - it seems like every time the writers and the animators got stuck they turned to chat GPT and just went with the automated answers.

I was expecting much more from Disney - Where have all the creative people gone? Is this what we should expect from Disney from now on?

Or can we hope and wish upon a star that they can start making real movies again, the types of film the whole family can enjoy again?

Unnecessary inappropriately adult jokes
12 November 2023
The movie is fine. Below average story line. Good music and visuals. But for some reason the film makers decided it was ok to include a number of references to drugs and completely inappropriate sexual jokes. Sure young kids won't understand but why should this be included in a children's film? It doesn't make the film wittier, smarter or more appealing to an adult audience. It's just inappropriate. My kids enjoyed the music and visuals but big parts of the plot line were just too weird for my 5 year old to follow and to be honest it didn't make that much sense to me either. It could have been a good movie if the weird inappropriate bits were cut and they thought about the plot a bit more. The musical performances make it watchable.

Much better than I remembered
1 October 2023
I watched Beethoven for the first time in at least 25 years tonight.

My kids (aged 5 and 7) and I laughed out loud, cried, shrieked, and cheered. It was thoroughly entertaining.

It's much better than I remember it being.

It's a great family movie. I wish there were new family movies like this one.

Highly recommended as a family movie for a family movie night. There are scary parts - but the family comes together to win.

Beethoven is hilarious.

Not much more to say than it's a great movie and definitely worth a watch. Perfect for kids aged 5 and up. The scary parts are over quickly so not too upsetting.

If you're sick of dark, depressing and cynical movies - watch this. It's funny, sweet, happy, light and cheerful. There should be more movies like this. Enjoy!

Fun family movie
11 December 2021
Our whole family enjoyed Back to the Outback. Lovely, fun family movie. My 3 and 5 year old enjoyed it. Lots of fun and not too scary for little kids. The adults enjoyed it too. Perfect for family movie night.

It could have been great
31 August 2021
This show could have been something special- But it tries to hard to be offensive / edgy / cool - not unlike the main character- and it detracts from the story they should be telling. So much drama is created by the characters self sabotage - which seems like a very lazy way to move the plot forward. This could have been another gem like Ted lasso - such a pity that it's not.

20 years later and still excellent

This movie is 20 years old, but it's still the most enjoyable movie I've seen in ages. Why can't they make movies like this again?
