The Waltons: Homecoming (2021 TV Movie)
5/10
It's okay, especially if you didn't see the original
3 December 2021
It's a cute movie but the characters were nothing like originally written. Whoever was in charge of music didn't get it right. There was big band music on the radio that sounded more like the 1940s. The slang used was from modern day, not 1930s. It's an okay movie in its own right but it's not our beloved Waltons.

Couldn't even sit through it to the end
20 February 2011
We (hubby and I) love westerns and I got a deal on this one at Walmart. We sat down to watch and it was so full of needless profanity not to mention a badly written story that we could neither one sit through it to the end-after about 45 minutes we took the DVD out and put it where it belonged- in the trash. What a waste of money not to mention 45 minutes we can never get back. Go back to singing Dwight. I hate that I have to add more to this review because the movie doesn't deserve to have any more written about it but this thing is telling me that my review isn't long enough. I wish I didn't have to give it one star because it didn't deserve that!

Great love story well told
14 February 2011
Are there more exciting stories in the Bible? Definitely. But those who complain about the lack of excitement are missing the point. This is a love story, one of the most beautiful love stories of all time. The love of Ruth for her mother in law and the love of Boaz for Ruth. At first, I too, was surprised at the age of Naomi- until I remembered in Biblical times most girls were married off by the age of 15 many by the age of 13, so a woman could be a mother in law by the time she was 27! I highly recommend this story to anyone who wants to see a well told Bible story. The only complaint I had was the modern language they used some times but that was minor. ALL young women should see this show when they get married to remind them of how a daughter in law should treat her mother in law.

I love this show- Hope it "makes" it
4 November 2008
I was a huge fan of 60's and 70's cop shows and this show has captured the feel of those.

I graduated high school in 1974 so the nostalgia of this show is also probably a factor in my enjoyment of it. Love the clothes the cars the music.

I never saw the British version of the show so I don't have that to compare it to but I really enjoy this show and the whole retro feel it has.

Now it is telling me my submission doesn't have enough lines so I have to add some more.

OK- How about this- does anyone think the set for the detectives office looks like the one from Cagney and Lacey?

Great Christmas movie
19 November 2007
I loved watching this one with my kids when they were little and now can't wait to share it with my grandkids.

North Pole city was so magical.

Great scenery.

I loved the way Santa made the Jaclyn Smith character believe in him.

It has something to appeal to all ages from 2 year olds up to .......

Not too heavy for kids and not to silly for adults.

The only thing I didn't like was the way the parents were at odds over

living up there.

I didn't see the relevance of that as far as bringing anything to the movie- that part could have been left out.

Anyone who doesn't like this movie is just an old Scrooge. :D

NCIS (2003– )
Love the show
16 March 2004
At first when my husband would watch this show I wasn't really paying much attention and I would see this goth girl in the lab and think "what on earth is THAT?!?!?!" Then, one night I sat and watched along with him and now I am totally hooked. Mark Harmon's character appears to be annoyed sometimes by the other characters actions etc. but you get the feeling he really likes his coworkers. I like David McCallum's character and the way they tease him about going on and on. I get the feeling he knows they really do like him but his stories just get to be too much for them and he understands. My favorite though is Pauley Perrette's character. She is just a lot of fun. I hope the show stays on a long time- Tuesday nights wouldn't be the same with out it.
