Welcome to Wrexham: Temporary (2024)
Season 3, Episode 5
10/10
Oh.. Here we go again.!
24 May 2024
Rob and Ryan, and everyone involved with this amazing Club (also the show, but the club comes first).

I once again find myself sobbing like a little girl (I'm a MAN, big strong viking-type MF!!) So it doesn't really fit my persona, to be sitting in my office watching the episode and just tear up.

Last time this happened my wife came in, made fun of me for the same reason, but today she wasn't home to witness it... That being said, she came home 10 min after I watched it, and within 2 min she had figured it all out and without saying a word, just went and got me some tissues, while laughing and then giving me a hug... (DAMN i love her).

Anywho... This has to be in my top3 of every episode so far. It's heartwarming, exiting, wholesome and you really feel the love and respect flowing through the air.

Once again 10 stars ain't enough, so 11/10 and that extra Star, is entirely for Arthur, what a Legend.!

Welcome to Wrexham: Up the Town? (2023)
Season 2, Episode 15

Well, Flick you too.... ;-)

I've never, and I mean NEVER!... Cried during any series, let alone a Documentary.

Sure, I've cried like a baby in certain scenes in certain movies, but that's normal... Right.?!?..

But this episode, it just hit me right in feels. My wife even came into my "man-cave" (It's a flicking office, but let me have this one) and hugged me, asking if I was okay, and what've happened since I was sobbing like that..

I told her the reason, she looked at me, shook her head, gave me a kiss on the forehead, then walked back out, only to turn around in the doorway and take a picture of me and calling me a little girl, before slamming the door, and running through the house laughing her as* off...

So, Rob & Ryan thank you so very much..

Now I'm the one having to go to the "bring your mother to school-day"...

But, totally worth it..!!!

12/10 - The extra credit is for being just about the most wholesome thing I've seen, ever!!

The Normans (2010)

Mockumentary, at best.

I don't know what it is, but even when I was a kid back in the 80s-90s. It was common knowledge that the vikings who raided Britain where Danes (Danish) not Norwegian. Norway wasn't even a country until several hundred years later. Sure, Norwegian tribes had business with the Danes, and they also fought against each other, just like they united against someone from time to time.

Just take the Ransom the Brits had to pay, it was called Danegeld (Danegæld) "Danish tax", literally "Dane yield" or tribute) was a tax raised to pay tribute or protection money to the Viking raiders to save a land from being ravaged. It was called the geld or gafol in eleventh-century sources. It was characteristic of royal policy in both England and Francia during the ninth through eleventh centuries, collected both as tributary, to buy off the attackers, and as stipendiary, to pay the defensive forces. In Anglo-Saxon England tribute payments to the Danes was known as gafol and the levy raised to support the standing army, for the defence of the realm, was known as heregeld (army-tax).

Honest review!

It's exactly what it should be!

It's Arnie for goodness sake!! He's old and strong, gives terrible lifestyle advices, judges you and everyone around for doing stuff he would've done, or already have done himself. His acting has never been that good with "Kindergarten cop" and "T1 & T2" being the exception of course. But, he's got some good comedic timing, and the rest of the cast do a solid job supporting each other.

Watch the whole thing as a parody on all those secret agent series that's going around. I find it amusing, and quiet fun. Sure there's a lot of things that could've had more back stories, but if Netflix doesn't do what they usually do, cancel it too early, I could see this get some momentum, and actually become a really good and freaking awesome/funny series..

How I Met Your Father (2022–2023)
1/10
Why?... WHY!?! What did I ever do to deserve this??

I watched 1 and a half episode, then I switched back and started watching HIMYM from the beginning. It's going to take at least 2-3 seasons to get over that flustercluck I just put myself through.

Whoever did this, you're now my mortal enemy. Prepare for battle!

"CRANK" - Light, like a diet Coke but without caffeine
2 August 2021
It's quite fun, I loved the bantering, the wierd and almost believable acting... It was harmless fun, and I could switch off my brain for some time.

I give it 6 because it's too silly to get anything less, or more... It's good silly action, plot holes, bad acting and so forth... But I liked it.
