Better Then I Expected
29 January 2006
The first thing you hear about this movie and well everything that you hear about this movie is about Anne Hathaway who actually did quite well. Now when I say better then what I expected, I expected a total crap movie but instead it was crap. Right it was about the "wigger's" life in which they find reality but not just any "wigger", the rich ones that have no where to go. So instead of Allison and her friends living out the life they are living. They get brought into the Latino gangster life by choice which in a way kind of added to the movie. But it kind of added melted chocolate pudding to burnt olives. But with bad usually comes good and there were upsides. Like I said, Anne Hathaway who played Allison was actually very convincing and as whom she was. You could tell she was trying to be all what now kind of person but you could also see inside on who she really was. I also enjoyed the whole Eric's video camera thing which kept the movie together and finished it. All in all it was better then I expected but I would not want to watch this again.

One of those movies that can't be missed
28 January 2006
Of the many World War II movies, this one is the best you will ever see. Now I am not a big fan of movies that I have to read subtitles for the fact that it takes a little out of the movie for me. Bruno Ganz who played Adolf Hitler had a spectacular performance. Every scene he was in you felt like you were in the room as well. If he is shouting, you are frightened, if he is joyous, you are rejoicing with him. Untergang, Der shows the other side of the war that most movies will leave out. As the movie goes you feel like it is your duty to watch it. There is no downside on any level through out the movie and the further a long it goes the more and more it builds even if it is not meant to. Now a two and a half hour movie may sound like a long time to spend watching a movie but I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed. There are some movies that should be their hour and a half but there are others that need to be the long length they are so you as the viewer will get the movie, live in the movie, and love it.

Things don't always seem as it is laid out
28 January 2006
Two inseparable friends in an outside "profession" find diamonds when all they were looking for was coal. Owen Wilson (John Beckwith) played his same style as the cool, easygoing guy that some how always finds to sneak his way through. Vince Vaughn (Jeremy Grey) played in character as well so this movie should have gone through nice and smooth right? Well it like a frog on steroids. It started like how the movie seemed like it was going with some humorous jokes that really got you ready for what was up to come. Then comes, the bombshell when they crash a wedding where Claire Cleary's (Rachel McAdams) sister was getting married. From there it was obvious what was going to happen and it seemed like a dramaish type movie where you know what is going to happen but you can't turn away because you just have to watch it. Everything goes as expected with some holes but then the writers twist everything around on you which were needed to conclude on the drama idea. All in all you will like it if you are a teen or into those drama or should I say an immature adult drama; slightly above teen but nothing at the top. I still would recommend people to see this movie just because it is hilarious and that is what saved the movie.

Great or do you know not?

Great movie when I saw it. Have to say one of my favorite movies of all time. I saw it like 8 times in the theater and got the DVD. As I got older and saw it again I realized that the movie is average. Compared to movies that are known ad good comedys, this is nothing. I mean Rock was hilarious in the movie and the whole switching with the racial stuff breaks a little barriers which is great. Also the thought of how the movie goes is a nice way of thinking. It's like most thought of a movie but also a little twist which is a very nice touch. I like the movie overall so i give it a...

Still a good 7/10 for me.

Hilarious, Dramatic, Sexy. Everything a movie needs.

The Girl Next Door is a great movie! I give it a 7 out of 10. Elisha Cuthbert is wonderful in this movie. She's sexy but not only that she plays out her role perfectly. I couldn't think of anyone better to play her. But I think of a couple people that I wouldn't mind seeing. :) You would think this movie is crap because a lot of the movies like this usually are. Well if you think it's then you are crap. This movie is addicting to watch. When you watch it you love the sex, the parties, the kisses, blah blah blah. Wrong! Maybe you do but it's the drama and the comedy that pulls you in. I really recommend you seeing this movie is you love movies that drag you in and you want to see it again but you just can't.
