It's surprising how episodes in 2004 to 2008 cover topics relevant today. Very engaging. Love James Spader.

the acting was great, the story not so much

The beginning of the story was quite suspenseful. After that, it the story dragged on. There was no part of the story that addressed the gulf between Martha and Sean after the event, it was just a chasm. I find that to be unrealistic. I particularly disliked the ending.

The costumes alone make this worth watching

Beautiful sets and costumes. Each episode ends with a cliff hanger, so I was compelled to keep watching non-stop. I really didn't intend to spend so much continuous time watching this series, but I couldn't pull myself away. Again, amazing clothes.

Silent Witness (1996– )

Great show ... terrible theme music

The stories and characters are well developed. The theme music reminds me of something you would hear at a seance. I have to fast forward through it.
