The Messiah (2023)

Very long and very boring

Long, very long and very boring. It has neither head nor tail, full of clichés and juggernauts flashbacks that makes you get tired tryng following the thread. The actors are neither credible nor do they believe ther acting. As bad and ugly as the group that this serial is supposed to be inspired by, the Flos Mariae, a group of Kischt and "Feista" (ugliness) Romanesque Catholic apostolic singers.

The script and story is a poorly told cocktail of sects, aliens, sexual abuse, drug addiction, pedophiles... .

More than 7 hours that could have been filmed in one hour. A waste of time and until now I have only read one review in the press saying that the serie is very bad, other reviews already predict a lot of awards... anyway...

I Don't Like Driving (2022)

Well deserved awards and nominations. Highly recommended

Pablo, a grumpy middle age university professor with car phobic since childhood, decides, almost as a challenge, to get his driver's license.

The experience makes him come out of his ivory tower and "misanthropy", and with a lot of humor discover people who were indifferent to him before.

To kill oneself laughing with the character of Lorenzo (David Lorente) the driving teacher and his "folk philosophy"

Very funny, excellent direction, actors and a good script and well deserved awards and nominations, Almería International Film Festival 2022 , Feroz Awards, ES 2023, Fotogramas de Plata 2023, Zapping Awards 2023 ...

Highly recommended.

The Offer (2022)

"Funtastic"

One of the most entertaining series I have seen this year, is addicted; I saw it all in two days.

Very good actors, and Anthony Ippolito, who plays Al Pacino playing Mikel Corleone, tremendous.

And the feminist touch. Among others and to let out a good laugh since it is real, the real beating in a scene given by James Caan to the actor Gianni Russo for having previously hit an actress.

Queer You Are (2021)

Brave biography in a homophobic Spain, and with charm and humor.

Deservedly won the GLAAD award for the best fiction series in Spanish in the United States. Very good script and tremendous actors. I don't know why this movie hasn't had more resonance or been rated more by critics.

A pearl

It is a pearl this film to me and I laughed for a while, because you can see the Buñuelian touches of erotic fetishism, backgrounds of paintings with busty and nude statues, or, to say that they have made love, you do not see a thing, you only hear at the beginning: !Angel! And at the end, the cage of the canary that falls.

Political ideas such as the ones painted on the walls with slogans of the 1934 revolution of Asturias.

And humor, which takes the pimp to say:

• You know what it is to earn a penny honestly
• Not me, and you?

• Neither do I

Or as in other movies, put something very personal. In one his favorite cocktail, in another the explanation of how good marijuana is, and in this one that he is an follower of the philosopher Shopenhauer, and he, again puts the mouth of the pimp (who looks like Don Luis) when he says to a client:

• What there is, is neither reason nor principles, as Chupinnagüe already said

(and bring a book to demonstrate it and reads):

• The quadruple root of sufficient reason (can you follow now) huh?

• No, neither do you, and stop fooling around."

Brilliant.

waste of time

When I first went to check if it was worth it to see this film, the score -few days ago- was rated over 7, now it's 5.3 and going down. This movie is bad enough to fall asleep. Bad direction, a script full of old jokes and clichés. I is not credible, not humor at all, and mediocre performance, where saying that the best actor is the black guy is an understatement. As I said, a waste of time even if it is free to download.
