Little Boy (2015)
A real gem
I rarely write reviews. This movie Little Boy is a real gem. I don't get why we haven't heard so much about it. The scenario is just perfectly written. The cinematography is really beautifully executed and the actors are all great. I was really moved, and actually normally it's is not at all what I'm searching in a movie (I'm much more into the horror/thriller/action genre). So actually I started looking, sure that I will hate it. It was the opposite. But what I loved the most in this film is the honesty of the film. You feel that it is an honest movie. You have so many movies that sometimes that are just pretending. Here it is true emotions. Really awesome film! I will remember it.
The Martian (2015)
boring unlikely politically correct
OK, this is really a very very bad movie. And on several levels. Matt Damon plays awfully bad. Well this is no news, he is an awful actor, but still
He is in this movie so emotionally numb. The scenario is really not suspenseful. Most of the scientific facts are just thrown at your head like if you were totally stupid and know nothing. All the scenario is totally unlikely. And I don't speak about the political correctness (black, Chinese
everybody is there) that is really an insult to intelligence. Finally I can say that the film had beautiful images. This is the only thing I can say positive. That's all. Conclusion : this movie is a waste of time. I have already forgotten it. Man where are the SF films like Alien
Upstream Color (2013)
Sundance mafia
This film compiles all the gimmicks of bad art cinema. Difficult to do worse. I have to say that I didn't liked Primer at all but it is even worse here. Pretentious as the director. But how come a film as bad, empty and dishonest as this one can receive such a positive critics from the milieu?
And I have only one explanation : Sundance mafia! It seems that once they find you they say Amen to whatever crap you produce
! I'm really worried for people who say this film is an experience
God, where do you live? In which twilight zone? because with everything is going on right now in the world if you just have this to say
well
this is really scary
Resolution (2012)
absolutely sterile
No, It's a joke. This movie can't have been selected by the Tribeca Film Festival
seriously
?
I'm very worried for indie American movies
It is a very bad sign here.Don't loose your time watching this assemblage of sequences with dirty little editing scratch easy gimmicks in between. No inspiration there
no plot either. The moment with the supposedly "French", who speaks to me like a Polish or something like that, god this is just impossible to let something like this. This is SO American to do this and it means a lot in terms of how American indie cinema thinks itself superior and pretentious but at the end is laughable. American are repeating again and again the same obsession : STORY, but the thing is that they don't have stories anymore to tell
Red Lights (2012)
denial what a twist!
Frankly the film is very bad. The ending is particularly terrible. What a twist! he is psychic himself
God
repeating it at least 10 times! OK we understood
we are not in denial at all us
The ending is made actually like a video clip. Same on editing, cut into confetti on Robert De Niro 's face to make the impression there is something scary going on. But the magical trick does not work here. It's just an other movie you will forget instantly after viewing. Seeing Sigourney Weaver was my only comfort here. So much money, so many great actors for that
always so disappointing to see such waste. On denial, better watch the masterpiece Don't look now by Nicolas Roeg than this very bad movie.
