Prehistoric Planet (2022)
What about flora? What about animal sounds?
The 3D modeling and animation is astonishing. BUT... What about flora??? The creators put too much effort in making the animals realistic, but the surrounding vegetation seems not to get along with them. It looks like the prehistoric animals were put inside modern surroundings, including plants which exist today, and might have not existed in time of dinosaurs. Secondly, considering animal sounds, too much assumptions were made in order for this show to look and sound popular to its audience. I expect that . Maybe, for the next season, they will put much more effort into making the surroundings more realistic.
The Last of Us (2023)
Another The Walking Dead clone?
To be honest, after the exhilarating announcements and pompous introduction, I expected a lot more from the series. As a person who loves horror genre, but hates the brainless The Walking Dead series, I hoped that this one would be somehow different than aforementioned zombie apocalypse nonsense. Casting is good, music score is good, scenery is mighty and nothing more. If the third episode doesn't accelerate and bring in the missing ingredient, I am giving it up, for sure. I really couldn't take another The Walking Dead clone, which, in general, sucks and should have never been made, but, unfortunately, it did.
Feria: La luz más oscura (2022)
Dark meets Desperate housewives
If I would sum it all, this show is bizarre, confusing and unfinished. At moments, I feel like the creators made it by being impressed with the german Dark series, and then, on the other hand, Desperate housewives come to play at times. It's a rollercoaster without climax, a ride with no destination. Characters are underdeveloped, the cast is even worse. Nudity is forced to get an "artistic" feeling, but I find it vulgar and inappropriate. Lows of physics are disrespected, when it comes to a demon "possessing" bodies by entering mouth of victims. Had a potential, but lost it on a way.
Chernovik (2018)
This movie is such a nonsense
I was expecting a good movie, but this confusing crap left me deeply disappointed. The plot is awful, cast and acting even worse. Just a bunch of mediocre special effects.
The Lodge (2019)
Lousy and boring
This movie had nothing to offer. Such a boring, dummy script, superficial characters. I was expecting to see some good quality horror movie, but this one was just like a placid baloon.
Gisaengchung (2019)
Quentin Tarantino - The South Korean way
I watched this movie during the 3 days, with pauses. It exhausted me really. Such a pain in the ***. It is nothing more than a pale copy of Tarantino's movies, with a plot so unrealistic and boring. The acting was awful too. The only decent things about this movie was a solid camera and photography, as well as the scenography. I really cannot understand all the fuss, the hype and Oscars won.
Pet Sematary (2019)
Such a disappointment
I was highly anticipating this movie, as I adore Stephen King. But, the movie turned out to be a super boring disaster. Everything in this movie has failed: casting, acting, music, execution. Even the cat casting was bad. Very unconvincing, boring, without a proper pace. I hope that IT 2 won't fail like this one.
Westworld: Journey into Night (2018)
Tough bite to swallow
The first season was awesome, but the beginning of the second season has disappointed me very much. The story is confusing, music irritating, so much killings and blood. All these aspects make this hard to swallow. It's getting more like Westworld meets The walking dead. If the second episode doesn't improve like a big time, I'm giving up on this season for good.
Hot Tub Time Machine (2010)
Stupid and vulgar
I don't understand how can someone give high rating for this movie!!! It is stupid and utterly vulgar. If there is a 0 in voting options, I would rate it with 0. Story is horrible, acting yet worse. Jokes are not funny at all. I will not watch a sequel for sure, even if my life depended on it.
Penny Dreadful (2014)
Magnificent and intoxicating
I must say I absolutely fell in love with this one, especially with beautifully crafted characters and a screenplay. Each and every character is beautiful and ugly at same time. Each line spoken is poetic and extremely strong like a good old red wine. This series talks about angels and demons lurking in all of us, fighting to prevail, each in it's own favor. Vanessa's role is a strong backbone of the story, leading in every aspect, good and bad. The glory of life is not blurred by the inevitability of death, as it comes naturally, as huge relief and a mark of a new beginning. I hope the end of the 3rd season doesn't mean the real end, and that there would be more to follow.
Jurassic World (2015)
What a disappointment this movie was
Though I must say I didn't expect much when I went to the cinema to watch this movie, but my fears proved right. There were at least for or five moments during the movie when I wanted to get up and leave this atrocious show. I just can't decide which aspect of the movie was worse than the other, the plot, the dinosaur design, the cast, the acting. The first Jurassic park story way back in 1993. was light years better in every aspect. It's really a terrible shame this one was such a disappointment. The only positive side of this movie was provided by damn good and realistic animal animation. To me any future Jurassic park movie sequel is a big "No, No, No"!!!
