Harold and Maude (1971)
If you want to sing out, sing out...
I don't really want to be a 'George' (Hotelgeorge) of this world and slate (or say how wonderful) the film is, but I do want to say that this film should make you think. If you don't 'get' it the first time you see it, don't then think "oh, that was bad". Watch it again and think of WHY Harold feels why he does and WHY Maude might 'lead him on'. The film is about freedom of expression and of love...very relevant in todays age. And if you think the film has 'dated badly', then you need to realise something... WHO CARES if the film looks old...IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!!!!! It's the content of the film that counts. (And for the record, the Cat Stevens soundtrack is fantastic!). It will continue to be an influential and provocative film for years and years. wado101 16, UK

Love this film! Great job for the budget, and some good acting. Bring on another British film like it...

Andrew Howard and David Calder really impressed me, especially with their connection as 'father and son'. Congratulations on the awards!
