Stealing visual style from Blade Runner and The Fugitive, throwing in the then very trendy grunge theme and heaping a (bloody excellent) grunge/goth/industrial soundtrack on top to finish. For my eyes and ears its a very long rock video, with some decent action sequences, and a good indicator of future movies by Proyas. The lad takes a very poor script, makes a marketable object with it, it might be bit light on the intellectual palate,(so what?who says that's automatically a bad thing?). Its still good for my money, certainly worth watching, especially for Michael Wincott's incestuous very very bad guy, he just steals the show for turning up. Damned shame about Brandon Lee, he was starting to move up in the industry and given time, may have eclipsed his old dad.

The dullest,most unconvincing piece of acting since Anna Nicole Smith told everyone,she wasn't marrying the eighty year Texan Billionare for his cold hard cash. The accents are laughable...I was waiting for Dick Van Dyke to appear,and shout,"Cor blimey Sherlock Holmes..you're a proper gent and no mistake...Gawd bless you Guv'nor".. And as for you Richard E Grant...shame on you...give your agent a slap.

Ooooh...it amazing what they can can do with a computer these days...they can take a bunch of talented actors...the most amazing special effects ever conceived by man...and produce a movie that really blows...and sucks...and blows some more...and oooh...didn't it just push the envelope. Somebody(probably an awful lot brighter than my good self),once mumbled-just because it can be done...should it? The lad and ladies who made this,want to sit down and have a bit of think before their next effort.
