Jingle All the Way 2 (2014 Video)
3/10
Should be called tinkle all the way........
5 December 2014
I like goofy movies with little to no plot as long as they are funny and entertaining. Jingle All The Way original is a movie with it all so when I saw a number 2 I thought I have to see it, after all, how bad can it be with Larry The Cable Guy in it!! I will admit I have enjoyed most of his movies but there is a first for everything. This one was named appropriately, cause it smelled like number 2. The little girl was so close to a clone of the darling in the Miracle on 34th street remake but the cute factor couldn't save this special movie. Interesting how he drove past a totally wide open lake on his way to go ice fishing, must have been a long drive. The best part of this movie was the end, I don't mean the ending, rather the credits, yes it's that bad and as I said, I enjoy goofy movies and low budget creations, this one won't be a Christmas staple at our house. I was extra generous with the score of 3.

Buy some paint......
23 October 2013
Okay, I like oddball, off the wall, low budget movies. I can find humor in places most people don't and I don't require drugs or alcohol to do it. For this film I just don't get it. Another reviewer compared this to Naked Gun....., wonder what roll he had in the making/producing of this movie??? Save yourself, this starts out slow and stays there for 90% of the film. Yes there are a couple funny moments and when the "climax" arrives it makes you chuckle, but that's it. You will never get this time back in your life, so seriously go buy some paint and watch it dry, you will thank me. I gave it 2 stars as I am in a generous mood today :)

Oh The Pain.......
18 August 2008
Let me start by saying I like Movies..... Funny ones, sad ones, action ones, pretty well anything but blood and gore filled horrors.... I DO love a good thriller!!! I like "B" movies, even "C" and "D" movies. I can sit through "My Dead Girlfriend" and lately, "My Mummy", but I couldn't no matter how hard I tied, get through this atrocious attempt at entertainment. Seriously, I couldn't get past 45 minutes, and that was probably 20 more then I should have spent on this. It seemed like I had been watching it forever, but alas, that wasn't the case. The reviewers on here praising this must all be actors in this one or something like that. I barely feel the need to say anything negative about any film, but I had to make an exception this time. Save your time and sanity and avoid this one at all cost.

Comedy of a different colour
11 February 2008
OK, so as always, I read the comments posted to try and get a feel for a movie. I really thought the director taking a defensive on a comment was really funny, especially with the typos and bad grammar. Like, chill out, people are allowed their opinions.

That said, this movie is OK, not terrible, not great, just OK. The acting by a bunch of unknowns is not a problem, it was pretty realistic, although one character was borderline annoying because of his wishy-washy ways. There are a few laughs in it, but certainly this film doesn't deserve any high reviews. In my opinion, which is mine, if you really want to see this movie, go ahead and watch it, but if I could do it all over again, I would still watch it, I would just wait until it was a cheaper 7 day rental then pay new release price.

To go into any detail about what was good or bad about this movie would have to include spoilers, so I will leave it at that.

Death Proof (2007)

Excellent Job on an Awful Movie
1 September 2007
Trying to make it seem like an old style "B" movie was clearly apparent and well done, sorry to say even though I have enjoyed most of Tarantino's previous works, this one was just too "extreme" for my enjoyment. I feel cheated because I could have used those two hours of my life for more valuable things. Reading reviews from others I honestly thought this would be a good movie, but sadly, that wasn't the case. Maybe I needed some "influence" to enhance the viewing experience, but that wasn't the case and nothing could have properly prepared me for what I was about to see. VERY slow moving. Watch at own risk.

Classic slapstick Allen and Chase
15 February 2007
I actually watched this movie before I read any of the reviews or comments on this site which is rare for me; I tend to value the reviews and rankings of the other members. This is the first time I am left scratching my head wondering what exact movie did you people watch to give it such low reviews??!! This movie is what it is and a very good job of it. It is a movie that makes fun of super hero movies. Take a bitter misfit ex-superhero who can't be any less interested in training new recruits and make it funny. Zoom has his reasons to be bitter and they are CLEARLY explained, if people don't get the plot, they weren't really paying attention. The acting in this movie is very good by a well collected cast. Allen and Chase deliver slapstick one liners throughout the whole movie that are truly reminiscent of their comedic classic styles. If the one liner isn't enough to make you laugh, add the highly adorable factor from Ryan Newman as Cindy Collins is tops. The rest of the cast works very well together and even though there is a lot of predictability in the movie, it is still very funny and worth the watch. This is not a literary classic brought to life, so don't expect it to be. The negative comments about Allen are unjust, as his character wasn't' that far off from his style in the Santa Clause movies. This movie was enjoyable and I laughed out loud many times and I don't do that often with movies because they just aren't as funny in the same style. If you want to just relax and laugh at a silly movie, the Zoom on over to your video store and pick this one up.

Just a continuity issue...
8 March 2006
The movie was all in all for it's time a good movie. However, there is such a HUGE error in the flow of the movie at the end that it appears incredible that something like that could go unnoticed. Rather than spoil it, watch the movie for yourself and see if you can spot it. While you're at it, you may just enjoy the movie as well.

The characters in the movie do a good job with a decent script, although, there really isn't anyone who comes across as a memorable actor. The movie was directed well enough that there was certainly good flow to it and there was certainly a hint of who the killer was without any explanations until the end of why.....

Shrek 2 (2004)
Shrek 2 delivers entertainment, not excitement
22 May 2004
This movie is more about lessons than comedy. There was clearly a different motive behind the writing. The movie is very entertaining, and younger children will enjoy it simply because of the animation. As far as the comedy level, it had some very funny parts, but certainly not the laugh-a-minute as others have reported. It's so tough to put together a sequel that outdoes the original, although ScoobyDoo 2 managed to pull that off. The movie shows what people will do for that "happily ever after" type of life which is the main line to the story adding excitement and comedy.

Not trying to sound overly negative, the movie is worth seeing, but don't go in with high expectations and you won't be disappointed. Some will say this is the greatest movie ever, others will hate it, it's that type of flick.

Original Shrek I would give 9/10....Shrek2 7/10

Murphy Madness!!!
3 January 2004
Some of us have never been to Disneyland, so they can make all the rides into movies they want, we'll never know. That said: The movie was very well done. Some parts were overly predictable, while the story flowed rather easily. It's another, "been done before plot" with some added special effects and humour, all of which added together equal a movie worth seeing. Eddie Murphy is Eddie Murphy at his usual sillyness, reminiscent of his "Beverly Hills Cop" style of acting. All supporting cast do a wonderful job and the direction gives it those scenes that'll make you jump then laugh. I would not recommend this movie to children under 13 as some scenes may frighten them. Should have been rated PG-13 instead. Other than that, good movie. I would rate this movie a 7.5 out of 10.
