Just an EXCELLENT movie

I don't understand how this movie is so unknown by most of the people.

Simply put, this is an amazing film. Eamonn Owens' performance is just unbelievable.

There are some serious and sensitives themes in this movie (murder, suicidal thoughts, alcoholism, child abuse, religion) however it's not a disturbing movie (it has its moments though). The reason for the lack of disturbance in this film is because we're seeing everything from the perspective of a little boy.

The Butcher Boy is, for sure, one of the best dark comedies/dramas that I've seen. Highly recommendable.

It is true...this movie is AWFUL

Battlefield Earth has to be one of the most stupidest movies I've ever seen in my entire life. Was this supposed to be a comedy? That's the feeling I got while I was listening to the ridiculous dialogue. Oh my god the dialogue...

Everything about this movie is bad. The costumes, the make-up, the so-called special FX, the script...OH MY GOD THE DIALOGUE!

However, I'd say that the only good thing about this movie was seeing the actors trying to walk in those ridiculous "Psychlo" costumes. That was hilarious.

Irreversible (2002)

A sad, depressing movie.

A lot has been said about this movie. Yes, there are a couple of brutal and violent scenes. It's even hard to watch at times, but Irreversible is much more than that.

I personally think that the acting is great. There's a natural chemistry between the 3 main characters. Monica Bellucci does a wonderful job as Alex. I give her a lot credit for being involved in such difficult role.

I really like the way the story was told. Some people say that it's a rip off of Memento, and that it doesn't work well in this movie, but I have to disagree. The movie "starts" in a dark way, with a lot of graphic images and violence. But at the end there's this kind of peace, a little dose of happiness..."the calm before the storm". It works really well, and that's what make this a really sad story.

I really recommend this film. But like I said before, it can be hard to watch. Just watch it with an open mind and give it a try.
