Boar (II) (2017)

Chris Sun's BOAR From Down Under!

If you enjoyed Razorback, you'll love BOAR! I consider BOAR the long lost pig cousin of Razorback. A very big special thanks to my friend Jay in Australia for sending me a copy of this Piggy on dvd! This is one really fun action packed movie! Incredibly graphic and boy does the BOAR look damn good! What I really like is you get to see this nasty piggy in action quite a bit, not one BOAR-ing minute in this flick. Top notch special effects! The BOAR is massive and full of nasty scars and many countless details. The characters are hilarious; I especially loved John Jarratt's character. This is a must see if you like killer pig movies. I hope the USA gets to see this big hog in action soon!

Bus Party to Hell (2017)

One Fun Bus Ride!

Party Bus To Hell was one fun horror flick! If you enjoy crazy over the top horror and whacked out effects! This movie is for you! The characters were entertaining and the whole cult group was insane! I thought the music and special effects were really well done. I would highly recommend to fans of horror comedy or slasher movies. Tara Reid isn't in this one long, but her scenes will for sure make you laugh.

Terror Toons 3 (2015)

Dr. Carnage Is Back For More Terror!

Terror Toons 3 is one insane sequel. It follows right after the first Terror Toons. Dr. Carnage and his monkey side kick Max Assassin are back. They look even crazier than ever this time around. This movie is filled with lots of carnage and it's gory as heck too. It's a wild ride of non- stop evil toon madness. The special effects mixed in with CGI look like something out of a crazy nightmare! If you enjoyed the first 2, I would definitely recommend checking it out. My only complaint, it ended too soon! I look forward to seeing what Dr. Carnage has planned next! Gory good fun! A Joe Castro experience you don't want to miss! Great to see Hershell Gordon Lewis as well. I enjoyed his version of the three little pigs.

Leprechaun: Origins (2014)

What Origins? More Like No Origins To This! *Some Minor Spoilers*

Leprechaun: Origins was definitely not as great or fun as the Warwick Davis Lep series that's for sure. I've seen worse movies, but for a reboot it's pretty bad. I will say I enjoyed the scenery of this movie. Too bad they didn't use more of it. Most of the movie takes place in the dark. The Lep resembles the creatures from The Descent mixed in with the ape monster from Creepshow. Some have even said he looks more like a midget vampire demon. Not really the Lep I was hoping for, but I admit it looked decent I guess. The Leprechaun never laughs or talks though, just growls. In the trailer I heard a laugh near the end. No Leprechaun laughs in this though, very misleading! There were so many missed opportunities in this movie. They could have done so much more with the story line. I wasn't very impressed with the gore either, not really bloody at all. The camera always cut away when the Lep was attacking. The movie is very short too and leaves you wanting more. Most of the action is near the end. It's not as horrible as I thought it would be, but this could have been so much better. This was really a pointless reboot that did nothing to reboot the series. Feels nothing like a Leprechaun movie either, more like a creature feature syfy original. None of the characters are even likable, except maybe the Irish guy. He was probably the best actor in this too. Bring back Warwick and start over again. The fans are not happy WWE! We want Warwick Davis and a Leprechaun that actually has character and origins! This Lep ain't no good in this hood! Even Leprechaun 4 was more fun than this. I think even Leprechaun's Revenge aka Red Clover had more origins. A pretty disappointing reboot on all levels really. Long time Lep fans will be very disappointed. Nothing scary or interesting about this Lep. Just my opinion though, you may enjoy it.

The Loved Ones (2009)

I Loved This One!

The Loved Ones is one of my top favorite Australian horror movies. It's got a great story, fantastic music, and some really disturbing scenes. Basically the story is about a psychotic girl and her insane father who torture this guy. He wouldn't go out to prom with her, so she has her own fun with him. It is a very bloody movie and will for sure leave you shocked by the end of the movie. The Princess character is very creepy and does a good job at freaking you out. I highly recommend this one to any fan of Hostel or fans of gory slasher films. Hopefully we'll get this one in the USA soon. I would like to thank my good Australian friend Jay for sending me this movie. I loved The Loved Ones! I give this one a 10/10

Razorback (1984)

Now That's Some Good Pork Chops Mate!

Razorback has to be one of my all time favorite Australian horror/action films. The movie is just so much fun to watch. The music is very creepy and atmospheric and goes mighty good with the film. Razorback is a very dark film about a killer razorback pig. Did I mention the special effects were very good for it's time. When you see that huge Razorback pig you'll be like, "Good Grief Mate!" It's just huge and full of so much detail. Too bad you don't see the pig close up in the movie much. It's one of the best killer pig movies I know of too; heck it's the only good one. If you're a fan of killer animal flicks or just like cool Aussie films, I reckon you should check out this piggy. It's worth a ride mate! Oink Oink!

Friday the 13th (2009)

Not Bad Needed More Backstory Though

Well I saw the new Friday The 13th remake, or reimagining whatever you want to call it. The opening sequence felt really rushed. They should have showed a bit more of Jason's mother and more of little Jason. I think if they did that this movie would have been great. It wasn't a bad movie; it just needed more back story imo. I liked the way Jason looked though, he was very cool in this one. Much better than the Jason from Freddy VS Jason. The teenagers were your typical sex, drugs, dumb and most of them got killed off. I'm actually glad they killed off the Asian guy he was very annoying. I didn't mind the main girl character and the guy that was looking for his sister. I think they were the best actors in the movie, next to Derek Mears. The movie was fairly violent and pretty gory. Jason is still one mean killing machine in this one. He actually runs in this one too. The last fight scene with Jason was pretty good. I like how they showed his face too. He's one ugly son of a gun that's for sure. I look forward to the sequel if they make one.

Shoot 'Em Up (2007)

This movie made my day!

I've been really sad lately. I recently lost my dad this past 4th of July. So I decided to rent me a movie to try to cheer me up some. I came across Shoot 'Em Up on Comcast On Demand and went ahead and rented it. I'll have to say this movie put a smile to my face. It had such good action and it was really funny at times. It reminded me of the movie Crank kinda. This movie was just non stop. There is never a dull moment in this movie. It's fast paced and full of good fun. It's the best movie I've seen in awhile. This movie made my day! My dad would have loved this movie too.

If you like action this movie is for you! 10/10

In The Name Of Krugs!

I know right now I'm going to get bashed to heck for this review. If you don't like this review, then don't read it. This is my opinion and if you don't like it too bad. Anyway, In The Name Of The King was a very cool movie. It was a bit too long, but I never got bored watching it. Jason Statham kicked some butt in this movie as Farmer. The ugly troll krug guys looked pretty good, and the fight scenes were very well done. I liked all the big name actors in this movie too. Burt Reynolds & Ray Liotta weren't in this movie too much though. If you enjoyed the Lord Of The Rings movies, or just like action/adventure movies you might enjoy this one. It's worth checking out and no where near as bad as everyone online is saying. I honestly don't see why people hate Uwe Boll's films. Sure they sometimes feel low budget, but they are fun to watch.

Death at a Funeral (2007)

Death Can Be So Funny At Times!

My good friend told me about Death at a Funeral. He was right, this movie was dead funny! This has to be the funniest movie I've seen all year. The characters were just hilarious and the comedy was very good. I liked the Uncle Alfie character he was so dang funny. That toilet scene was just classic! He was funny when they picked him up for the funeral too. The movie is about all these people that attend a funeral. Everything goes completely wrong when a midget shows up though. If you enjoy comedy and your looking for something to laugh out loud to. Death at a Funeral is for you! Did I mention this has one funny ending too! I give Uncle Alfie a 10/10

Hitman (I) (2007)

The Ultimate Assassin!

Hit-man is based on the Hit-man video games series. If you've ever played the game, it's about an assassin that goes around and kills people pretty much. There's much more to it, but I don't want to spoil the games for anyone. Anyway Hit-man was a great action movie, and in my opinion true to the games. Timothy Olyphant looks exactly like Agent 47 from the video games. He did a fine playing the character in this movie too. This movie will for sure keep you entertained; it's full of violence and killing. Agent 47 is one mean son of a gun! There are tons of fight scenes in this movie, and very cool intro. I think the intro was done very well. They should have used more music from the video games though. If your into action flicks, or just looking for a fun video game movie. You have got to see Hit-man. The Unrated version has much more gore added and seems a bit bloodier to me. Definitely check it out if you're a fan of Agent 47!

Alien Avengers (1996 TV Movie)

A Comedy Out Of This World!

Alien Avengers aka Welcome To Planet Earth is one funny comedy. It's not your average comedy though. It's a pretty dark horror comedy. It's about these aliens that come to earth for a vacation with their daughter. They end up showing up at this guy named Joseph's door asking for a room. That's where all the fun begins! Charlie and Rhonda are hilarious; they say some of the funniest things and do some pretty violent things to criminals. If you enjoy Roger Corman flicks, I think you'll like this one. It is full of comedy, action and has some very funny lines. If you liked this movie, definitely check out the sequel Alien Avengers II, it's pretty funny too.

Aliens Are Among Us?

Alien Avengers II is a pretty funny sequel. It follows right after the first movie. Shanna Reed does not play Rhonda in this movie though. We get Julie Brown instead. She's pretty funny too, but I think Shanna was slightly better as Rhonda. The rest of the cast is all back in the sequel. You've got Daphne, Charlie, and Joseph all returning. Daphne and Joseph search for her parents. Meanwhile Charlie and Rhonda find a little town and have some fun. Alien Avengers II is a fun comedy, but no where near as hilarious as the first movie. It's worth seeing, but don't kill yourself trying to find a copy. Charlie is still laugh out loud funny, that guy cracks me up.

I give these funny aliens a 8/10

The Hills Have Eyes Part II (1984)

Stay Away From These Hills!

Wow this was one terrible sequel. I don't even know where to start on how bad this movie was. It was just so low budget and so dang boring. Somehow Pluto (Michael Berryman) is still alive after the first movie. How I have no idea. Then there's one other cannibal The Reaper. His name sounds cool right? Too bad the character is so terrible it's not even funny. This entire movie is mostly flash backs from the first movie. Even the Dog has a flash back! This movie is pretty disappointing and really poorly made too. I don't know what Wes Craven was thinking when he made this one. Please avoid this movie at all cost; it's not worth your time. If you want to see a good Hills Have Eyes movie. Go see Hills Have Eyes (2006) (1977) The Hills Have Eyes II (2007) those movies are much better! I give The Hills Have Eyes Part 2 a 2/10

The Hills Have Eyes (1977)

Watch Out In Those Hills!

Hills Have Eyes was pretty good for it's time I'd day. It was shocking, violent and well weird. I didn't like this movie as much as the 2006 remake. I guess having mutants was just cooler in the remake. In this version we just have ugly looking people that are cannibals that live in the desert. There is still a rape scene, it's no where near as graphic as the 2006 version's though. Hills Have Eyes is a bit slow at times, but has some good action scenes near the end. One thing I really hated about this movie though, was the ending. It was just terrible and felt really rushed. The rest of the movie is fairly good though, but like I said earlier I prefer the remake over the original. I just think it had more action and was just done better. The Hills Have Eyes 1977 is still a classic though, and worth seeing if you enjoyed the remake. Michael Berryman does a great job at playing Pluto too, I found him to be pretty creepy in this movie.

I give Hills Have Eyes a 7/10

10,000 BC (2008)

A Boring Movie With Some Little Action!

I was hoping 10,000 B.C would be a good caveman movie. The trailer looked great and looked like a fun movie. After seeing the movie I was pretty disappointed in 10,000 BC. It was just so boring at times. There were some good fight scenes, but they needed to be longer. Plus there were no dinosaurs! All we got were Mammoths, 1 Saber Tooth tiger, and some Dodo birds that ate people. I'll have to say though the CGI was very good. Much better than I Am Legend horrible god awful CGI graphics that's for sure. This movie seemed like more of a love story though. That caveman guy was desperate for that cavewoman he liked. I did like the weird guys with the long finger nails, they were funny and the best part of the movie. 10,000 BC gets 6/10 from me.

Go see the Flintstones movie instead; it's a much better caveman movie and funny too!

P2 (2007)

Watch Out In Those Parking Decks!

P2 has to be one of the best movies I've seen of late 2007. It has tons of action and is just non-stop. The movie is pretty gory at times too, there's one scene that is very realistic! I won't spoil it though, but it's pretty nasty! P2 is about a lady that gets stuck in a parking deck on Christmas Eve. Of course her car won't turn on, and he's stuck there all by her self. She's not alone though, there's a crazy killer on the loose! If you're looking for a very entertaining thriller/horror movie I think you'll enjoy P2. It is one movie that will definitely make you scared to go in parking decks by yourself. Alexandre Aja also helped out with this movie. He did a fantastic job on the story/screenplay! I give P2 a 9/10

I Am Legend (2007)

I Am Legend....More Like I Am Crap

I was really hoping this movie would be good. My friend kept going on and on about how I'd really like it. It looked interesting by the trailer, but boy was I wrong…I Am Legend has to be the worst movie I've seen all year. I watch a lot of crappy movies too, but this movie really stood out. Will Smith fails to entertain me; I had more enjoyment watching the dog in the movie. I think the dog was actually a better actor than him. Anyway most of the movie is about Will Smith talking to mannequins (He even asks one out on a date) and talking to his smart dog. Then you've got the monster looking terrible CGI people, who look like pumped up versions of Gollum on steroids from Lord of The Rings. They looked so fake and really ruined the movie. They should have just used make up people and it would have been much better. There was just way too much CGI, even the deer in this movie were CGI and even the Lions! Everything looked so bad, I did like the mutant dogs though, they looked cool. I won't spoil the rest of the movie, but don't expect much. This is like a terrible version of 28 Days Later. Do yourself a favor and go watch 28 Days Later or 28 Weeks Later on DVD. Those are much better movies with infected people! I did enjoy the first few minutes of the new Batman movie before I Am Legend started. I looked really cool on the huge I-Max screen.

One Of The Craziest Movies I've Ever Seen

Murder Set Pieces has to be one of the craziest movies I've seen! This movie will just shock you in every way possible and leave you speechless. It's disturbing, weird, gory, and just odd. I know a lot of people bash this movie online, they always say the R rated cut is terrible. I didn't think it was terrible, but it felt like it was missing a lot. The truth is the R rated version really does have a lot taken out. If you can get your hands on the Unrated Director's Cut of Murder Set Pieces you will see a huge difference right off the bat. The movie has much more gore added, and makes a lot more sense than the R rated version story wise. This movie is not for everyone though; it's very dark and twisted. If you're under the age of 18 you do not need to see this! It has some very disturbing parts, one involving a little girl getting hurt. Nick Palumbo has made one of the most shocking movies I've ever seen! I give Murder Set Pieces a murdering 9/10

Rednecks & Mutants

Wow this was actually a pretty good movie. It's like Hills Have Eyes a little bit. It's got 2 mutants in it, one looks similar to Pluto. He's got a beard though and long gray hair. Lot's of good fight scenes, and crazy moments. It was fairly bloody too. The rednecks were hilarious too. I liked everything, except the ending, I thought that could have been a little bit better. Still though this is one of the better low budget movies I've seen this year. Defiantly check this out if you liked Hills Have Eyes remake. I also recommend Detour, Hillside Cannibals, and Wrong Turn 1-2. All of those are a lot of fun to watch too.

Bloodlines gets a bloody good 8.5/10

BloodRayne II: Deliverance (2007 Video)

The Vampire Queen Rayne Returns To The West?

Bloodrayne 2 Deliverance is the sequel to Bloodrayne. I know a lot of people hated the first movie, I actually enjoyed it though. It was a bloody good movie and fun to watch. Bloodrayne 2 is very different from the first movie. First of all, Kristanna Loken isn't in this movie. Rayne is now played by Natassia Malthe, who looks more like Rayne from the video game series in my opinion. Anyway the movie is about Billy The Kid, who is a vampire trying to take over the west. Billy and a bunch of his vampire pals kidnap kids and take over a little town called Deliverance! This movie is no where near as graphic as the first movie. You hardly ever see any vampire fangs. There are no flash backs from the first movie either, nothing is even mentioned about Rayne's fight with her father and how she's a vampire queen and all that. I still enjoyed the movie though; it was a bit slow at times, but got better later on. I liked the Billy The Kid character, he was pretty crazy, mean as heck too. The Preacher had my laughing too. Bloodrayne 2: Deliverance is a good sequel, but no where near as cool as the first movie. I look forward to Uwe Boll's Postal movie, looks like a very crazy movie! I bet it will get banned for sure!

A Killer Chimp Makes A Killer Movie!

Wow when I first saw this DVD cover, I figured it would be a low budget stupid movie. I was way off. This movie was probably the best killer chimpanzee movie I've ever seen. The chimps in this movie were very smart; I really liked all their funny facial expressions too. They were very smart and fun to watch. The best chimp though was Link. I've never seen a chimp dress up as a Butler. Then go around and kill people. He was a very good killer that's for sure. I loved the part when he pushed the van off the cliff. Link even fights a dog and cooks a phone! This is one movie you have to see, it's just great! Fun to watch, exciting, gory, weird and downright crazy! If you liked this movie you should also check out Monkey Shines, that's another good killer monkey movie! Links gets a 9/10 from me!

964 Pinocchio (1991)

Not The Pinocchio You Know!

Wow this was one weird movie. I have never in my life seen anything like this. This is not the Disney Pinocchio we all grew up watching. This movie is so messed up you won't believe it. Pinocchio is a lobotomized cyborg sex slave, and is thrown out onto the street by his owners. Pinocchio meets up with this homeless girl named Himiko. Then Pinocchio's creator sends out his men to get rid of Pinocchio. This is one really strange movie though. It's pretty low budget, but in a good way. I liked all the weird camera angles too. I think the best part was when Pinocchio ran down the streets screaming. That was just weird and freaky! I bet all those people were freaked out when they saw this thing running. Did I mention the ending is also weird as heck. If you're looking for a weird movie to watch, then you'll enjoy Pinocchio 964. There's nothing out there quite like this. 9/10 from me.

Sling Blade (1996)

Reckon You Make Me Some Biscuits!

Sling Blade is the best Drama movie I've ever seen. Billy Bob Thornton wrote this movie, directed it and even played in it! I'll have to say this is his best performance and he pulls it off very well. He plays as Karl Childers in the movie. The movie is about Karl getting out of mental hospital and going back to the real world. He got put in the nut house for murdering his mom and her lover. So Karl gets out and makes friends with a boy named Frank. They become good friends in the movie and Karl moves in with them. Things go great until Frank's mean step dad Doyle shows up. Karl is fed up with the way Doyle treats his family, so Karl takes action! Sling Blade has some very funny lines too. Karl says some of the funniest things. I laughed when he said quote in the movie to John Ritter's character. I don't reckon you have to go with women to be a good daddy to a boy. You been real square-dealing' with me. The Bible says two men ought not lay together. But I don't reckon the Good Lord would send anybody like you to Hades. He loves those biscuits with mustard too. This is one great movie though; I highly recommend it to any movie fan. It's funny, realistic, sad, and weird at times too. R.I.P. John Ritter! I reckon I give this here movie a 10/10

1-Ichi (2003 Video)

Ichi Is The #1 Killer

Ichi-1 is the prequel to Ichi The Killer. It's not the best movie in the world, but it's a lot better than I thought it would be. It's about Ichi in high school. He gets bullied and that's when he starts to go nuts. It's got some great fight scenes too. It's also of course got a few nasty scenes. The baseball scene was pretty disturbing. The main problem I had with this movie though was the fact that there were no teachers at the school. I can't believe not one teacher stopped any fights at school all those kids had. I didn't see one teacher at all at the school period. I guess all the kids scared them off or something. Ichi-1 is a low budget movie, but much better than most low budget movie I've seen. It's also got a bit of comedy in the movie too. The movie is all in Japanese though, so unless you can speak Japanese you'll have to read the English subtitles. It's worth checking out if you liked Ichi The Killer, but it might disappoint some people. I recommend renting it first.
