Iron Fist (2017–2018)

Quite good in spite of the lame name

Only watched the first 3 episodes so far but like it so much already that I just wanted to leave a few comments. I read some other reviews that said this was of similar calibre to Luke Cage...in my opinion Luke was pretty lousy because of its really slow pace and too much film time on trivial filler. This is closer to Daredevil with a much tighter story and more believable characters with decent acting.

The fight scenes so far are a little weak and not many special effects but the ones they do have so far aren't too bad. Anyway, if you enjoy watching superhero-type shows I rate it not as good as Daredevil or Jessica Jones but better than the Arrow, Flash, Luke Cage, Agent Carter etc...it's worth a watch. I'm glad i gave it a chance in spite of the name 'Iron Fist' which I thought was lame and is why i gave it a pass when it first came out and after I'd been pretty disappointed by the ones i just mentioned except Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Crossing Point (2016)

Much better than I expected

I've never left a review before but I just finished watching it and wanted to say that this was much, MUCH better than I expected and deserves a far better rating than 5 just stars. The acting was very good, especially Shawn Lock, I think he's going to be getting much more well known in the future.

I thought the movie really captured the feeling of Mexico, both the tourist side and the underside with well written fast-paced story that never leaves you getting bored like most 'action' movies. Even though the film had a smaller budget it doesn't give you that cheesy feeling that you usually get from smaller budget movies.

All in all I highly recommend it, especially to watch with the girlfriend that enjoys action movies but can do without the obviously fake gore that most movie makers these days seem to try and use to cover up all the other flaws.
