And Just Like That... (2021)
And Just Like That...they finally completely ruined the memory of SATC
I gave two stars for the sake of good memories and some attention to interior design and costumes. Otherwise, it would be a zero.
As a true fan of the original SATC, it's painful to watch what has become of the series. The characters are cardboard thin with zero personality. There is no real plot. The PC has gone overboard, and nothing makes sense. Everybody is winey, rich and super annoying with no charisma or real interest in anything apart from sex and money and fame. It's cute and adorable when you are 25; it's pathetic when you are 56 (I am that age, so I earned my right to say so).
The last 2 episodes of season 2 were especially cringy and desperate. All the original characters just had to get edmd up doing things (and men) that they had done 30 years ago... Miranda went back to practice law, Charlotte (don't even mention pillow face and duck lips) went back to work in the gallery, and Carrie went back to Aiden (admitting that Big was a Big mistake...??? Really? After all the drama with his death and her grieving and the bestseller book she got out it this...? Suddenly its a mistake?)
No character development, no progress, no acknowledgement of the time, no mercy. So so sad.
The Affair: Episode #5.6 (2019)
Worst acting EVER !!!
I love 'The Affair' and have been following it religiousely for the past 5 years, brilliant show, great plot development, good casting, coherent story line...until this?? what?? The attempnt to connect Joanie story to the rest of the series is pathetic and it breaks the natural flow. The acting is so so bad i dont even know where to start. It feels like the Michael Broun (EJ) character was created to add some comic relief to the situation but its totally not working, it feels out of place and irrelevant to the story. Not impressed with wooden acting of Anna Paquin. Hagai Levi what happened?!
