Defending Jacob (2020)

A bit slow, but beautifully done

I haven't read the book, and I enjoyed the series a lot. I guess it was mostly those people who didn't like the difference between the show's ending and the book who were disappointed and complaining. The acting was amazing, soundtrack on point, very atmospheric. I found the story a bit too slow for my taste, but without any desire to fast forward. I still don't know how I feel about the ending, but I keep thinking about it, which doesn't happen that often.

The conversations, characters' actiins, action / fight scenes are lame, unbelievable, laughable. I was fast forwarding when watching became unbearable which is pretty often. If you don't know how to totally waste your time, that's a great choice.

Interesting, but slow

It's beautiful and stylish, thought-provoking and subtle, has a plot twist which your sort of expect, but can't be sure about, very good acting... But it's too slow. I was annoyed with pacing throughout the movie and had to stop myself from fast-forwarding a couple of times. I still don't regret watching it, and wouldn't probably soon forget it, but I probably won't watch it again either.

Ten Inch Hero (2007)

A wonderful gift to yourself

I am not a fan of comedies, so I didn't expect much of this film. Gosh, was I proved wrong! Unlike many American comedies, this one is funny AND kind, and it makes you feel good and see the better in the world and people. This constellation of characters slowly grows on you and make you wish the film lasted longer so that you could enjoy their relationship and the atmosphere in the movie. Not that I don't appreciate Jensen Ackles in "Supernatural", but I was surprised by how good and versatile an actor he is. Anyway, acting is great, story is wonderful, nothing is amiss. I loved it and would definitely recommend anyone who likes romantic comedies, Jensen Ackles, or wants a great evening for oneself. And I will definitely go back and will re-watch it later. The music is a treat, too.
