The Fall (I) (2013–2016)
10/10
The Fall
14 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I totally missed series one of this excellent drama. Gillian Anderson holds this together like a conductor within an orchestra. I watched it out of sync, from episode 3 of season 2. This meant I watched from the police perspective. At this stage I even thought the villain was being picked on by the authorities. Then watched season 1 and the first two episodes of season 2. Now watching from the villains perspective and knowing his responsibility. Finally watching the last 1 episode in-situ. Looking back on this order of episodes it could not have worked out better as this maintained the suspense that season one would have revealed. Jamie Dornan will now require a much bigger price tag for his services after Fifty Shades of Grey. 10/10. I am surprised at how BBC2 got to be involved in such an excellent drama and intrigued as to where season 3 will go.

The Sweeney (2012)
6/10
This movie is based on one of my fav cop TV series.
8 January 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Watched on Blu-Ray. There would be little point in this movie mimicking what had been done in the past and sure enough a nice modern spin was planted into the making of this movie. With Damian Lewis, Ray Winstone and Ben Drew it all kicked off right from the start. Scenes are picturesque and subtlety tinted. Music the was suitably dramatic composed by Lorne Balfe, with clear hints to Inception, Sherlock Holmes and the Dark Knight Rises. As the film progressed I began to have difficulty empathising with the characters. clearly the director Nick Love noticed the issue and boom he gave the film a life line to cling on to as it progressed beyond the halfway point. From then on the film flowed well as the plot pulled its self together to a fitting conclusion. Enjoyable watch.

The Hunter (IV) (2011)
7/10
This is a slow flowing film exploring the  subtleties of human interaction

The hunter This is a slow flowing film exploring the  subtleties of human interaction,  nature and faction.  A true hunter can look upon another and read them like an open book.  On rare occasions the hunted looks back at you and the look is reciprocated.  Whilst others are oblivious to thoughts of those around them, let alone their own synaptic interactions.  The hunter who makes connections when others see there aren't any, is what can separate the good from those who excel. Then there's what you would do if  you actually found yourself in this position.  Much as I liked this film the respect shown to this elusive creature leaves much to be desired and exposes lack of anthropomorphism that would have been of great value to this creature over the years. This is a thought provoking film that works with the implied rather than the actuation. .

Meeting Evil (2012)

Meeting Evil This is the strangest movie I have watched thus far in 2012
3 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Meeting Evil This is the strangest movie I have watched thus far in 2012. It allows Your mind to wonder over a number of ideas as to what is really happening over the the first hour of the film. It was like a modern day very  dark fairy tale set in the wake of America's great housing   recession.  It's one of those films I needed to watch again to fully comprehend  the story. Not because it is particularly complex but because I allowed it to lead me to ask a number of questions about the two main characters. Richie as he lifts the veil on  suburban life and the character of John Fleton who wonders through  the landscape of his life asleep though Richie endeavours to wake him up and open his eyes.
