Misunderstanding Forgiveness
20 December 2023
This film is an okay film. It's about personal experience, so I'm sure to those who've had similar experiences will connect with this film more than I did.

The thing that frustrates me about this film is that all of these people are saying that they want to move past the trauma they suffered, yet they are totally unwilling to forgive their attackers. They clearly do not understand what forgiveness means. Forgiving somebody (for whatever they may have done) is for the benefit of the person who was wronged, not the person who did wrong. Forgiveness means letting go and moving on, not forgetting what happened. In fact, we should not forget what happened, as that would put us at risk of these things happening all over again.

I hope that all of these women will forgive this man, not to excuse or forget what he did, but so that they can move forward in their lives. Otherwise, they may will themselves along through life, but they will do so as victims and they will become increasingly more bitter.

Teachers trying to impress students is just sad.
27 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Tavi Gevinson's character is beyond sad! She's so desperate for the students' approval that she starts a mean girl rant blog because the students didn't love her outfit on the first day. Grow up! This is the dumbest premise for a reboot! I seriously want to beat the crap out of the writers for insulting my intelligence!

I really only decided to give this reboot a chance because Thomas Doherty is smoking hot and I wanted to continue to support his fine body... of work. I will have to look elsewhere because even though he's absolutely delicious and plays his characters well, this show is insufferable!

This show sucks! That is all!

If you like films that go deeper than what you see on the surface, this one's for you.

If you're the type of person who likes to watch films that require you to think deeper than what happens on the surface, don't listen to the low score reviews. This film requires analytical work on the part of the viewer to fully grasp the expression of this film.

I'm not a big fan of M. Night Shyamalan's films but decided to watch this one because I liked the concept. I was not disappointed.

I also think it's important to note that this is not a genre horror film. It's more of a thriller with exploitative, horror moments.

I would recommend familiarizing yourself with the book of Revelation, particularly concerning the four horsemen of the apocalypse before watching this film, it will give you a bit of reference to draw upon while watching.

Shameless Self-Promotion

This documentary could have been so much better, given the interesting, devastating story it set out to tell. The story of the death of three innocent children, the search for justice and the stumbling blocks along the way, should be told with respect showed to the victims and their families... Too bad Kristin Chenoweth decided to use this platform to promote her own career! What kind of narcissistic monster does a person have to be to use the tragic death of three children and the nasty racial tension put on this community, to showcase their singing capabilities?

Skip this one! Don't give that arrogant woman anymore attention!

Complete and Utter Rubbish

I don't really need to say much here. There's absolutely no reason, whatsoever, to waste your time on this tripe!

It's a basic story with maybe one twist and a whole lot of desert footage (they do offer day and nightvision footage, I think they'd want that notes). The score is wasted on this footage.

The interviews are only convincing in that the hair and makeup looks like it was not done by professionals. The acting is subpar and the script is non-existent.

I'd recommend this movie to anyone trying find something slightly more interesting than watching paint dry.

Bad

I don't know the whole history of how this show came to be, but what I can say, is that it is boring and poorly acted. I don't know why Netflix got behind this project, it is the dumbest story I've ever heard and moved at glacial pace. The acting was laughable at best. If you're thinking about watching this but aren't totally sold... SKIP IT!
