Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022)
I'm sorry, but horrible
I really, really wanted to like it, but it took all the worst elements of super hero movies and had none of the witty, clever things you would expect in a movie like this. Full of MacGuffins and stuff thrown in when it seems like the writers had no idea where to take the story. And the third act was a CGI lovefest. I guess it's possible that I'm not smart enough to understand what clever was going on, but the people I went with didn't either and they for sure are smart people. We all had the same thoughts and feelings. I guess if you like the trend with super hero movies you'll probably like Glass Onion.
Redwood Massacre: Annihilation (2020)
Really enjoyed it.
Beautifully filmed and super fun storyline. Loved Max and that big guy Gary Kasper.
The Dark Within (2019)
Very good
Looks great, sounds great had me to the very end. Then I said, what exactly did I just see. Which actually is pretty good as I've been thinking about it all day just trying to figure it out.
Dead Squad: Temple of the Undead (2018)
Great Fun
This is the kind of movie that you want to see with a group. I saw it in a theater with a bunch of people and while not very scary, it's just so full of laughs and amazing kills. It's pretty slow to get to the really good stuff, but once it starts it's nonstop "Ugh!, Wow!, I can't believe they just did that" etc.
Abbey Grace (2016)
I liked it. Not sure what these other guys are thinking.
Have no idea what those one star guys were watching. It wasn't the best movie ever but it was a good haunted house movie that I could watch with my kids. The acting was mostly pretty good. Stacey and the dog were great, I liked the male lead, my wife not so much. Also really like the flashback Abbey Grace scenes.
