Good Indy film, well worth watching
3 March 2017
Yup, comments on this movie are all over the place, so let me clear up a few things.

This is a low budget Indy film. A fairly simple story, small cast, local filming locations. The acting is awfully good, cinematography is crisp and beautifully shows the Northern California woodlands.

Is the film perfect? No. Is it highly entertaining? Yes, indeed. Is it a feel-good package? Not even close. So ... it is an uncomplicated film with action, but character driven. I am quite comfortable recommending that people give this one a try.

Bad, bad, bad.
27 September 2013
This movie is so incredibly bad that words fail me. Just for starters, Kate Beckinsale as a U.S. Federal Marshall is ludicrous. She is a wimp, no other description is possible. They would have done better to have cast Pee Wee Herman in the role. Every peril presented in the first 40 minutes were products of impossible stupidity by the characters, and the miraculous escapes ... sigh, words fail me again. Dialog woeful, acting absent. The stars were so stiff you figured they had been on the ice far too long. Suffice it to say that I lasted 40 minutes and then had to turn this disaster off. I could stand no more. There are lots of good movies out there worth watching. This is absolutely not one of them.
